Florence
I lay on the grass behind the house for the first time in months I felt the warmth of the sun upon my skin. I've always loved winter; I loved the idea of snuggling up beside the window and watching the snow fall onto the ground or reading beside the fire and hearing the cracking. However, the winters in the frontier were much colder than in France.

Winter has come to an end I hoped. This was the first time in a long time, I've not had Haytham around, he hasn't been home in two months, he's been in Boston with his son Connor. They're working together to find Church, I have no idea who Church was, Father never spoke about him, nor do I remember the year we spent in New York.

I opened my eyes when I noticed the sun's brightness had faded. "I believe you're the girl I've been looking for." I saw a large man looking over me, and I sighed. "Are you Mrs. Kenway?" I nodded.

"I'm guessing you're Benjamin Church?" I asked, rolling over onto my stomach to stand up. "What do you want?" I knew what was going to happen and I'm sick and tired of this happening to me.

"Your husband destroyed my cargo." I sighed and rolled my eyes as I placed my hand on my chest.

"What do you want me to do about it?" I complained, I hated being a woman sometimes. Men always thought you were this innocent lady who always needed to be rescued or the best to be used as bait. "Let me guess you're going to kidnap me, leave a note warning Haytham that I've been kidnapped and he'll run after me to save me." I leaned down to pick up my book and as I did I chuckled as I heard swords. I stood up looking at Mr Church. "If that is your intended wish, you know I just can't be kidnapped today, sorry to be a disruption in your plans but I've got things to do." I pushed passed him well and tried to but he grabbed me and held me against the fence of the garden.

"I'm guessing you've had this done a few times with Benedict." My eyes widen at the sound of Benedict's name. "Oh, you didn't think I knew about that huh?" He didn't let me respond before he used the back of his blade.

Evie
"Jacob you be careful now!" I warned as my son left with his brother Patrick for their first mission together. All my children are growing up too fast, my eldest boy is about to get married and is about to have his first child and has his own place, Jacob is engaged and Liam well he's travelled to Paris with his uncle to help the grandmaster with a mission. "I mean it you too, watch out for one another," I begged, watching them race away on horses. Shay, stood beside me holding my waist.

"Can you believe it we're the only people here?" I looked at my husband who had a smirk and gave me a wink, I knew what he wanted to do. "We haven't been alone since the first night we shared." I rolled my eyes looking at the direction that the boys went to.

Shay tilts my head to face him. I giggle, looking down. I still felt like a schoolgirl who had a crush on a popular boy whenever he placed his hand on my chin. "I've been thinking of really inappropriate things that I want to do with you." I slapped his chest playfully. "No I mean it, even god would cast me out of heaven with these thoughts about you." I blushed, he always made me feel giddy and after twenty-five years of marriage, I'm still able to share these moments with him.

"But before we fulfil those dirty thoughts, my love," I respond, placing my hand on his cheek. "I want you to dance with me." I paused, facing him. "That ball reminded me of how much I loved to dance, we've not danced since then and as much as I want you to indulge in those thoughts of yours, I just one moment we're dancing."

"Well, if you wish it then I'll be more than happy to oblige." I smiled, kissing them. "I'll see you a moment."

I stood in front of the window looking down at the garden below, the sun was setting, and it was a beautiful sight. The sun was still warm, with the golden light spreading crossing the sky. The servants were finishing up the room, and I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around to see Mary, who offered me a glass of whiskey, I thanked her and she smiled. "You're all excused, it will just be me and Evie tonight, you may retire for the night." I smiled, as everyone left the room, except the musicians.
