Evelyn smashed her hand into her bedside table, trying to shut off her alarm that was on her phone, only to find that the device was not there.
"Wha--" She furrowed her eyebrows slightly before sitting up to look for her phone.
"왜 내 맘을 흔드는 건데
왜 내 맘을 흔드는 건데
왜 내 맘을 흔드--"She slammed the button on her phone which somehow ended up beside her pillow, and the alarm finally stopped. "I don't know how I'm shaking your heart! Ask someone else for god's sake..." she flopped back onto her bed, somewhat irritated.
"When did I even set that as my alarm? How come I don't remember?" Evelyn rolled over onto her back to face the ceiling. "It was Jimin wasn't it?"
She sighed. Of course her older brother would set their own song as her alarm. Not that she minded, they did have good music, but just why did he have to replay that part over and over again?!
"This brother..." She shook her head and went to the washroom to get ready.
Did I dream last night? Evelyn thought to herself as she brushed her teeth. She had been getting nightmares quite regularly lately, so she was quite surprised that one didn't pop into her brain last night. Eh, whatever.
She spit the toothpaste into the sink as she washed her face. This was when her phone vibrated, indicating that she had a message.
"Who would text me at this hour—" She sighed before picking up her phone to check her notifications. Seeing the sender, her eyes widened in surprise and happiness.
I'm back in Seoul, The message read; Come see our concert this weekend.
She was about to reply with a yes, but then she remembered that she was supposed to see BTS' concert this weekend.
Sorry, I'd love to, but I already have plans... Evelyn wrote back.
Her phone vibrated again, It wasn't a question, it was a statement.
"What the hell?" Evelyn sighed.
I said, I already have plans! Evelyn rolled her eyes as she typed out the words.
I don't care. Cancel them and come see our concert. The man replied. I have to go now, the tickets have been sent to your email so make sure you check it. Bye. See you this weekend.
Evelyn tugged on her hair slightly in frustration. If I go for just one day each... they won't be angry right? If I missed either shows, they'd be mad at the other person...
"Ugh, whatever, they'll have to deal with it." Evelyn sighed before going back into the washroom to finish getting ready.
...
"Hiya!" Jin jumped out from behind the pillar by the front gates to the school, nearly making Evelyn jump out of her shoes.
"Jin!" Evelyn gasped. "Don't do that again! If you give me a heart attack, you'll be fully responsible and will have to pay for my hospital fees. And Jimin wouldn't be happy."
"I'm sorry!" He stuck his tongue out playfully.
"Okay, okay. Never mind that, I have something important to discuss with you." Evelyn became serious. "Your guys' concert is on both days of the weekend, right?"
Jin nodded. "Yup."
"Well, I can only go on one of the days as of now." She said.
"What?! Why?" Jin furrowed his eyebrows together and asked.
"...he's back in Seoul, and he wants me to go see their concert... you know what'll happen if either of them find out that I'm going to both." Evelyn sighed. "So can you please make sure Jimin won't be upset that I'm only going for one day?"
Jin looked at her sympathetically. "I will."
"Thank you!" Evelyn grinned. "I gotta run to class now or I'll be late, see you around!"
After she left Jin, she realized something was a bit off.
Where was the human phone who loved to hang around her so much?
She opened her backpack and got out her phone, to see that it was only at seven percent. Right... didn't he say that he can't turn into human from when he has low power? But didn't I charge it last night? How did my phone end up beside my pillow?
Evelyn let out a sigh. "Guess I'll have to find an outlet later." A few seconds later, her eyes widened at what she had said. "What, no! Why would I want him to follow me around! I don't!"
People walking past her shot her strange glances.
"Hm... but if my phone dies, I can't do anything, so I might as well find an outlet..." She tried giving herself another reason that seemed logical. "Yeah, I'm going to go find an outlet."
But deep in her mind, she does miss V following her around, she just doesn't want to admit it.
