"Shawty imma party 'till the sun down~"
She was on her way to the cafeteria when her phone rang, and she knew exactly who's ringtone that was.
Oh god, Evelyn quietly said in her mind, cautiously picking up her phone and answering it. "Hello...?"
"So, have you canceled your plans so you can come to our concert yet?" The voice that was familiar to Evelyn's ears rang from the other side of the line.
"Well, not exactly," she said slowly, "I can only go on one of the days."
"Explain." The man seemed impatient.
"Oh Sehun. I can assure you that I am a grown woman, no longer seven, and I don't need you to know every little detail about my life." She rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"But you're still my little sister, therefore you have to listen to me." Sehun said sassily, "Now explain why you won't be at both days of our concert."
"I have plans with my friends okay?" Evelyn replied, her voice not shaking at all.
This was one of the perks of being an actress, because Sehun is a very attentive person (even though he doesn't look it) and he would've endlessly questioned her had she stumbled over her words.
"What? You have friends?"
"SEHUN, YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT." Evelyn squeezed out between clenched teeth.
He let out a deep chuckle. "Sehun-oppa, I think you mean."
"I'm so sorry!" Evelyn mocked with a slight smirk on her face, "I will respect my elders next time, Sehun-grandpa."
"Evelyn!"
Hearing the irritated shouts from the other end, Evelyn grinned evilly with satisfaction before hanging up.
Despite them often fighting and arguing, Evelyn is still grateful that she has an older brother like Sehun.
However, her relationship with the maknae of EXO was very different from her relationship with Jimin.
Jimin would always take care of her, and when they had arguments (which happened rarely) he would always be the first to give in because he didn't want it to escalate.
Sehun, on the other hand, loved to argue with her, even about the littlest things. Things usually get even more heated when they both start roasting each other like there's no tomorrow...
Strange if you think about the fact that Sehun is actually older than Jimin.
"Shoot... I forgot to find an outlet." Evelyn muttered under her breath as she realized that her phone had just died.
She rushed around the corner to the library, which was relatively empty as this was a school of arts and students didn't really like to hang out in the library during breaks.
Evelyn quickly found an outlet conveniently by the door, but her hand met someone else's when she tried to plug in her charger.
"Tsk, who do we have here?"
The sharp and high-pitched voice made Evelyn furrow her eyebrows together in discomfort.
"Hello, my name is Evelyn. Nice to meet you." She stood back up and held out her hand to the woman in front of her, trying to be polite.
The woman, however, batted her hand away. "Ew, don't touch me."
Evelyn raised an eyebrow as she brought her hands back in her pockets. "Who exactly do you think you are?"
The woman widened her eyes a little before smirking and picking at her nails. "Me? I'm the daughter of the principal of this school."
"And?"
"And that means that one word from me, and you could be kicked out of the school." The woman rolled her eyes.
"Just because you're the principal's daughter doesn't give you the right to disrespect others." Evelyn shrugged and bent back down to plug in her charger. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'd like to charge my phone."
The sound of a slap echoed throughout the library.
"Oi. What's going on here?" Jimin placed a hand on his cheek which had just been hit.
"Jimin! What—how?" Evelyn widened her eyes and stared at her brother.
"Oh my god. You must be... Jimin of BTS?!" The woman squealed and Evelyn winced at the pain in her ears.
"Thanks for hitting me." Jimin rolled his eyes.
"Oh—no—I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to hit you—it was meant for the girl behind you—"
"So you mean, you wanted to slap my sister?" Jimin's gaze became dark and icy, causing the woman to shudder.
"She was being rude—"
"Oh. So batting someone's hand shake away is not being rude? Slapping someone isn't being rude?" Jimin crossed his arms as he glared at the woman. "Valencia, since when did you become the daughter of the principal? When did Mr. Kang become principal?"
Valencia's face became red out of embarrassment and anger. "Park Jimin, I was only being nice because I like you and your group, but you should think before you speak. You'll regret this." She stormed out of the library.
"You okay?" Jimin bent down to eye level with Evelyn, concern filling his pupils.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Evelyn pouted a little, "I was just wanting to charge my phone, but she just got all up in my face for some reason. Did I do something?"
"I doubt it. Valencia is just the typical spoiled brat, so don't worry about it." Jimin grinned. "Now, I have to head to practice with the boys. See you later." He pat her on the head.
"Wait, your cheek is kind of swollen." Evelyn placed her hand on his cheek, "You might wanna get some ice."
"I'll be fine," Jimin shrugged it off, "She's not that strong."
"Alright then." Evelyn stood back up after plugging in her phone, "See you!"
...
"Excuse me." He walked into the office and leaned on the door frame casually.
"Who are you looking for?" The secretary replied without looking up, clearly intrigued with whatever was on her computer.
"Oh Evelyn." He said, taking off his sunglasses.
The secretary jerked her head up at the familiar voice and nearly squealed as she saw the man's face. "If—if you'd like, I can call her down here."
"That'd be appreciated." He flashed her a smile and she almost fainted.
"Oh Evelyn, please come down to the office. Oh Evelyn, please come down to the office. Thank you."
