Namjoon stood on the stage alone, feelings stirring inside of him. Was he really about to sing < 네시 > by himself?
Ever since the accident... he didn't even want to think about the song. It pained him to think about it, to listen to it, let alone to sing it.
Why did his manager want to put him through this torture?
Lights lit up the stage, as he stood in the centre. Namjoon knew he had to give a good performance for all the ARMYs that came today. He didn't want to disappoint them.
But it was so hard.
It was just so hard to open his mouth, to sing this song without breaking down.
As soon as the audience heard the music start, they knew exactly what song he was about to sing. After a few seconds of silence, they all began chanting, "Kim Namjoon! Kim Namjoon! Kim Namjoon!"
He took a deep breath.
"어느 날 달에게
길고긴 편지를 썼어
너보다 환하진 않지만
작은 촛불을 켰어..."
He sang, his voice slightly shaking.
The familiar melody made his eyes water as he slowly approached the chorus.
"깊은 밤을 따라서
너의 노랫소리가
한 걸음씩 두 걸음씩
붉은 아침을 데려와
새벽은 지나가고
저 달이 잠에 들면
함께했던 푸른빛이
사라져..."
And that's when he lost it. The tears rolled down his cheeks like a waterfall,
I miss you...
"Namjoon..." Jin looked at the monitor, concerned as he was backstage getting ready for the next performance. His eyes were slightly red as he blinked back tears.
He was the eldest. He had to stay strong, or else the other members would break down too.
Jungkook took one look before sniffling, and leaving to the dressing room.
"Kookie..." Jimin looked at the younger through the reflection of the mirror as he got his hair pulled back.
"Jimin-hyung." Jungkook looked up, tears filling his eyes. "I miss them."
"I know how you feel." Jimin sighed as he bit his bottom lip. "But now's not the time. We have to finish this concert. Namjoon has it the worst right now, so let's not add anything—"
"Why did manager-hyung make him sing this song? Doesn't he understand—" Jungkook choked on a sob and the tears fell.
"Jungkook-ah!" One of the makeup artists ran over. "I know you feel really bad, but please keep the tears away. You have to go on stage soon and your makeup..."
Jungkook bit his lip. He understood everything she said. However, he just didn't understand why the manager would make the leader sing the song by himself.
Was it fan service? But why make them do fan service when it hurts them?
