"Jungkook." V, no, Taehyung stepped out from behind Evelyn. "It's been awhile."

The younger one froze at the familiar voice. It couldn't have been him, right? He — he died in that accident, didn't he?

Tears formed at the bottom of his eyes as he lifted his head, mixed emotions rushing through his brain. "V-hyung?" He asked, his voice shaking.

Taehyung smiled, a tear rolling down his cheek. "How's everyone else?"

"They're all doing really well... but hyung — where have you been all this time? If you were alive, you should've come back — do you know how hard it was for me and the others?" Jungkook broke down halfway through his rant. "Why couldn't you just text us? To at least let us know that you were okay? If you didn't want to stay in Bangtan we would've understood if you told us! Hyung, do you know how much it hurt when I thought you were dead? I — "

"Jungkook-ie, I am dead." Taehyung tried acting calm, but his tears were betraying him. "I died in the car accident three years ago. I'm only here speaking to you because of Evelyn."

The girl looked up at them, her eyes still faintly red. "I don't fully understand the situation here, but I think I can guess. Were you one of the members in the accident? Was < 네시 > a song you and Namjoon wrote together? Is this why you were near crying after we met Hoseok?" Her gaze landed on Taehyung.

Taehyung took a deep breath before speaking once again. "Yeah. I was fortunate enough to come back. To see you all again."

"...how?" Jungkook asked, his voice cracked and was barely louder than a whisper.

"I can't tell you." Taehyung shook his head.

The maknae wiped his tears and jumped up to give the older one a hug.

Evelyn bit her bottom lip, fiddling with the earrings that she was wearing.

She took a deep breath.

...

Myra found herself waking up to the beeping noise of a heart monitor, the lines showing her steady heartbeat.

"Dad? Where are you?" She sat up immediately, glancing around the room. It took her a minute to process the fact that she was the one lying in the bed, not her father.

"Ms. Seo?" A nurse opened the door and entered the room, "How are you feeling?"

Myra looked up at her, the confused expression on her face making her emotions obvious to the nurse.

"Ah, you passed out in front of the emergency room." She explained, "Please take better care of yourself!"

The blonde nodded, "How's my father?"

"He's..." the nurse hesitated before continuing, "He made it through the surgery but we're unsure how much longer he'll be able to live for. Another heart attack like that will likely claim his life, but there's a treatment which has a seventy percent chance of lowering the chances of it happening..."

"How much...?"

"Pardon?"

"How much money for the treatment?"

"Ah," the nurse replied, "I'll check with the doctor and tell you."

Myra nodded and gestures for her to leave the room, which the nurse did. She sank into her thoughts as she considered the options, nearly bursting into tears again. She was already in so much debt, was it even possible to start another treatment?

Was she about to lose her father to the same reason she lost her mother nine years ago?

"Why...?" Myra choked on a sob.

Why me...?

Sehun sat quietly on his bed, rethinking the events of the past week. His gaze landed on the vase of lavenders on the bedside table, unable to explain clearly what he was feeling.

"Who brought these here?" He spoke to himself, "Who else knows what lavenders mean to me?"

He couldn't seem to recall anyone that does.

Sehun cursed under his breath and ran a hand through his blond hair in frustration and stopped thinking about the flowers.

Evelyn suddenly came to mind as soon as he placed the other thoughts aside.

A smile tugged at the corner of his lips when he remembered his sister. If the little boy hadn't shown them to Evelyn sixteen years ago, he would've never met her. It's probably really selfish for thinking this, but he's glad that destiny worked out the way it did.

Not that it was a good thing that Evelyn had experienced as a child, it was far from that, but if she hadn't experienced it, they would've never met.

He couldn't imagine his life without his sassy little sister, after all.

Sehun fell back into the mattress and stared up at the ceiling. The feelings he felt when his sister told him her real brother was Park Jimin was unexplainable. He felt happy for her — obviously — that she had found her real family, but he felt upset.

The amount of netizens that gave her hate that she didn't deserve when the news broke out was frightening. There was no reason for them to hate on her, they just did, they told her she wasn't worthy of being related to Jimin, they told her that she was using her relationships with Jimin and him for fame, they told her that she should be happy that she experienced what she did because she's famous now —

Sehun jumped and was brought back to reality when the door was busted open with a loud bang. His gaze landed on the figure by the door.

"Do you know where Evelyn went?!" Jimin appeared in the doorway, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

What?
