11. "spidergirls"

With Diana at work for most of the day, Luna decided to take on the task of watching the baby to give her mom a break. But that proved to be hard when her tias came over, some of whom she haven't seen in over a year. With six women sat in the living room, and a baby being rocked in her arms, Luna still managed to wear a smile.

"E teu namorado?" Her tia Genesis asked with a laugh as she brought her cup of coffee to her lips.

Luna couldn't help but chuckle, looking away from her aunt and to the baby giggling up at her. "He's a real cutie," Victoria responded, already noticing how Luna's cheeks had began turning red. "He came here to meet us the same day Elena was born, and even came to the hospital with us."

Luna couldn't help the smile that spread on her face as her aunts all cooed, turning to her for confirmation. "Yeah," She mumbled shyly, focusing on Elena, who stared up at her. "He's great."

"Is he coming for your birthday?" Tia Reyna asked, all the women muttering something of agreement.

Luna began to shrug, but stopped remembering Elena. "Não sei," She answered truthfully, because as much as she wanted Tom to be there for her birthday, neither of them could change his work schedule. She knew how strict filming schedules were, and a lot of the time you weren't given breaks unless it was a holiday, and no matter how much she wanted it to be, her birthday was not a holiday. "He's filming a movie right now, and schedules are really tight, so he doesn't know if he can make it." She watched as disappointment settled on the faces of her five aunts, clearly excited for the cheesy stories her mom would have provided for them. "But he's coming for Christmas," She quickly added.

That's all it took for all the women to perk up, Victoria especially. "He is?" Her eyes were lit up as Luna nodded. Everybody knew that Christmas was Victoria's holiday, every year it was spent at her house. She enjoyed having all the family together at such a happy time of the year, being able to bring together every branch of their expanded family into one place. She'd never admitted it, but she's been waiting for when that family would expand just the slightest bit more. Now with Luna bringing someone new to their holiday party, it meant that little branch was growing in the slightest.

"Mhm," She hummed, lifting Elena slightly, emitting a slobbery laugh from the baby. "He said he's looking forward to your tres leches cake mami." Elena made a gurgling noise, making Luna grimace. "I think El needs a diaper change, then a nap, I'll be back."

With that, Luna disappeared up the stairs to tend to Elena. In the living room, Victoria's sister-in-law Tatiana turned to her. "Does she love him?" She asked quietly, glancing back at the stairs Luna disappeared up.

Victoria laughed at this, raising her coffee to her lips. "Love? They already planned their wedding."
