"Soup for breakfast? Oh yippee!"
There was only four bedrooms in the rented house, which usually wouldn't be an issue. Each person got their own room, and Tom and Luna shared along with Rocket. But these bedrooms were all so close to each other and the walls were thin, so if Tom couldn't get any sleep then neither did anybody else.
Luna was the only one who managed to sleep a reasonable amount, occasionally coughing herself awake then falling back asleep immediately. Her boyfriend however, he didn't sleep all that much. And neither did her three best friends.
It was Harrison who woke up first, peeking his head into their room, wanting to check if Luna was okay. Instead he found Tom sitting up, driving himself crazy over the diagnosis given to him by webmd.
Then came Liz, who was already up facetiming her sister, and was drawn to the room by the light peaking out under the door. She sat herself on the floor cross-legged, informing Tom that the doctor said it was nothing but a bad cold.
Mia eventually found her way into the room during one of Luna's coughing fits, the girl being awake for the whole two minutes then falling back asleep. Mia laid at the foot of the bed watching, eyes still heavy from sleepiness.
It ended up turning into one weird sleepover in Tom and Luna's room, the group only getting four hours of sleep. Liz, Mia and Harrison all left early to stop for coffee before meeting up with their realtor, waking up Tom before they left.
Luna woke up an hour after, waddling down to the kitchen with Rocket trailing behind her. She was greeted with the sight of her sleepy boyfriend by the stove, singing softly as he stirred a pot.
He turned back at the sound of her voice, smiling at her. "Does your throat hurt?" He questioned, and Luna's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. She only just woke up, how could he know she woke up with a sore throat? "Thought so," He shrugged. He gestured for her to sit at the table not too far away, Luna trudging her way over.
She sat herself in the seat, Tom placing the hot bowl of soup in front of her. "We can reschedule today," He suggested, secretly hoping she agreed. He wasn't in the slightest bit reassured by Liz's confirmation of it being a cold, which is why he got the least amount of sleep out of them.
Luna shook her head, blowing on her soup. "I want to find a house as soon as possible," She mumbled, wincing when she burned her tongue. "My castmates are out here, and so are my friends, and now Liz and Mia will be out here too. Then we'll be out here, and I'm just too excited to delay that."
Tom's features softened, and just an hour later, he was handing Luna one of his hoodies to pair with her leggings as they got ready. Luna didn't hesitate to tease him when he packed medicine and an extra pack of tissues in her purse. Her teasing only intensified when he held the bag himself, slinging the black purse over his shoulder with no shame.
Luna stood back with a frown when Tom hugged Zendaya, crossing her arms. "I wanna hug you, but I'm sick," She whined, her friend letting out a laugh. She blew her a kiss instead, Luna pretending to catch it and place it on her cheek with a grin.
"We ready?" Zendaya asked, gesturing to the first house they were visiting. "You'll like Quincy, he helped me find my house."
They did like Quincy. He was honest with his opinions of each thing, like pointing out a counter top that would definitely need to be changed, or when a house seemed overpriced for what it offered. He was exactly who they needed to sell them a house.
