It didn't take long for the five girls to assemble in Luna's apartment, Mia sat between Liz and Luna. She had stopped crying now, but her cheeks remained tear stained, her hands tucked beneath her thighs to stop the shaking.

In all the years Luna knew the girl, she'd never seen this side of her. It was a known thing that Mia was the most emotional of the trio of girls; she cried when Diana first shared she was pregnant, she'd cry at the sad dog commercials, any little thing made Mia shed a tear. But this time was different. Sure, she'd cried. She cried a whole lot. But she stopped. And that's what scared Luna.

Because if Mia wasn't crying, then she didn't know what she was meant to do. She'd been there to console the girl through every time she cried, already knowing the procedure from the amount of times it happened. Yet, when Mia stopped crying, Luna was left clueless. She was nowhere close to okay, so why did she not shed tears anymore?

With Liz and Luna unsure of what to do, this left Zendaya and Laura equally as lost. Nobody knew what to say to the girl who's eyes were staring blankly at the rug, lost in her own world.

When Mia let out a whimper, all eyes were on her once more, instead of sharing unsure looks with one another. She brought her knees to her chest once more, her arms wrapping around them as she leant her forehead against her knees. She could feel tears welling in her eyes once more, as their dinner together played in her mind like a broken record.

The whole dinner Mia felt as if she was floating on cloud nine, the happiness she felt when she was with Harrison was incomparable. Mia Lancaster was no stranger to the dating scene, her high school career was spent dating boys, being left disappointed by each one.

She'd only fallen in love twice in her life.

The first man she ever loved was during her freshman year of college. They'd met at the play, Mia and Liz attending the school's production that Luna was taking part in. He was ridiculously charming, she should have known that seeing as he was the lead of the play. Those actors always seemed to know how to sweep a woman off her feet, and he'd been successful in doing so that night. Luna had assured the girl he was a good guy, and three dates later, Mia was smitten with the boy. It didn't take her long for her to fall in love with the man, and god, she wished she hadn't. Because, with all the love overflowing in her heart, it made the events that occurred four months into their relationship so much harder to come to terms with. Anthony Williams, the first man she'd ever loved, had gotten into a car accident that ended his life much sooner than it should have.

She didn't remember how many months she spent crying over Anthony, because she'd felt numb throughout the whole thing. It took her over a year to come to terms with the fact that, yeah, her boyfriend and first love was dead, and she didn't get to tell him those three words that haunted her. It's safe to say that Mia had been afraid of dating ever since that, but she allowed Liz to drag her to terrible double dates, despite having no interest in any male that was presented to her.

It wasn't until Harrison Osterfield tripped over her foot as she attempted to get some shut eye on set that she'd finally shown interest in a male in a way that wasn't friendly. At the time, she hated how easily she was reeled in by his wide smile and bright eyes. She'd spent so long avoiding males, not wanting to experience a heartache like that every again. But, you know that baby with the heart-shaped arrows? Yeah, he wasn't on Mia Lancaster's side at all. Mia found herself in the same spot she'd been with Anthony, her heart overflowing with feelings for the blued eyed boy, but like last time, she kept it to herself. That is until Luna gave Harrison that final push, making "Haria" an official couple.

As their relationship progressed, Mia told herself that she wouldn't make the same mistake. She wouldn't keep those feelings to herself anymore, she wouldn't allow Harrison to be unaware of her love like Anthony was. So any chance she got, it was spent with Harrison. The boy deserved all the love in the world to her, and if she had the opportunity to present it to him, she would.

Mia was jolted out of her thoughts when Harrison stopped in front of the train station, where he'd walked her to say their goodbyes before leaving to the airport. A smile was present on her lips as she stared up at the boy, already feeling the excitement of when she'd get to see him next. Her smile faltered slightly when he didn't match her smile like he usually did, instead his lips were pulled into a tight line, his hands tucked into his pockets. But Mia knew Harrison, she knew if his hands were tucked away, he was trying to avoid fiddling with his fingers, something he only did when he was nervous.

She was prepared to open her mouth to ask what was wrong, and hopefully offer some helpful advice, but Harrison already began speaking, "Mia, we can't do this." Any trace of a smile disappeared from her face, her brows knitting together in confusion. Harrison sucked in a breathe, bringing his hands out of his pockets, before quickly putting them back. If he was going to do this, it was going to be quick. "I'm breaking up with you," He blurted, not giving himself enough time to find better wording.

Mia's heart sunk to her stomach, and in an instant, her eyes were glassy. Harrison's own heart sank at the sight of her, but he bit the inside of his cheek, trying his hardest not to react. But man, he'd never known how hard it would be to stand in front of the woman you love and watch her cry over something you did. "W-What?" All sorts of assumptions were going through Mia's mind at that moment, and if she wasn't in public, she's sure she would have crumbled to the ground already. Did she do something wrong? Was the distance too much? Did he not love her anymore? Anthony came rushing back to her mind, reminding her that once again, she'd lost someone she was completely and utterly in love with in the blink of an eye.

"We're too different, Mia," He uttered pathetically, and Mia felt as if she'd just been a puppy who was kicked. Too different? It took him that many months to realize they were too different? What about the months they were just friends, were they too different then too? Or was it now that they were in a relationship that they were too different? So many questions swirled around the girl's mind, rendering her silent. Harrison took this as his time to escape, taking a step back from the girl, and all she could do was stare. "I'm sorry," He concluded, backing away from the heartbroken girl, eventually turning his back to her and walking back to Luna's apartment, his head hung.

"We were too different," Mia mumbled, her voice muffled as her head was still down. The four girls all looked to each other, knowing that while it wasn't too far from the truth, it wasn't the real reason Harrison had ended what they had. "Where did I go wrong?" Mia whimpered, raising her head as a tear slipped down her cheek.
