Spring in New York City wasn't all that great. It was humid and rainy. And you can't forget that there isn't a single time in the year where New Yorkers weren't grumpy, but still, the big city was home, so Luna found joy in being back.

Everybody seemed to be busy nowadays, wether they were busy filming or busy with their personal life, their schedules were packed. You'd expect that to put a damper on things, but with a group of friends as close as them, they never allowed themselves to go too long without speaking.

Tom and Luna just got in the previous night, both flying in from different locations. Filming for Spider-Man two was just beginning, conveniently at the same time Riverdale season 3 was beginning to film. A couple weeks apart led to a very emotional reunion at the airport, Andrew dramatically gripping the arm of his boyfriend as he watched.

It was the day of Andres' wedding. The three Giraldo siblings got themselves all dressed up, each of them with a date by their side. Victoria made sure to get her pictures of each, taking a few extra ones of Diana and Elena of course.

Luckily for them, this April afternoon was sunny. With her hand clasped in Tom's, Luna felt completely at ease. She had nothing to worry about. Her siblings were beside her, her mom was at home with her puppy getting ready for a date, her friends were at their homes, and her boyfriend was beside her. It was the most relaxed she's been in a while.

Tom was anything but relaxed. Not when Luna was beside him, one hand holding his while the other held up her dress to prevent her from stepping on it. It didn't help that she was the clumsiest person he knew, but he knew that she was feeling amazing the way she was dressed, so he didn't complain. He allowed her to flaunt her pretty dress, and flash smiles at every distant family member she saw, even if he was secretly very scared for her wellbeing and his own.

And when they got to the reception, he only got more tense.

Maybe it was the six year old inside of her, but seeing her father exchange his vows with someone that wasn't her mother made her feel a certain way. It never dawned on her that she'd never see her parents together again, that the night they stayed up watching High School Musical was the last night of her parents' marriage. But at the same time, she was excited.

Her father was happy, and that's all a daughter could want for their parent. He was stood up there with tears in his eyes as he slipped a ring onto her hand. Luna's gaze traveled over to the young boy stood beside her father, a boy she was introduced to only once, but already loved with all her being.

She couldn't lie, she was shocked when Andres told her she had a half-brother. He was only 7 years old, an accident brought upon him during a rough night. Though what was once an accident became the greatest gift of all, Andres and his fiancée finding love as they tried to parent the young boy together.

Jorge caught Luna's eyes in the crowd, and though she had tears in her eyes, she made a silly face to the boy. Jorge cracked a smile at her face, sticking out his tongue before turning his attention back to his parents.

Luna was quick to grab onto Tom when Andres pulled in his wife for a kiss, her tears spilling over. "I'm an emotional wreck," She mumbled, wiping away the tears. "When we get married, I don't know what I'll do."

Tom smiled at her words, when. "Me neither," He replied, wiping away a tear she missed.

The Giraldo family had always been close, even after Andres left. Luna's childhood memories were filled with times of her and her sister playing tag at the park across the street, or her brother letting her win during a game of Just Dance. Her mom was usually busy with work, but when she wasn't, she would make food and pack it for a picnic in Flushing-Meadow park. Those picnics became a frequent thing when it was warm out, and Luna remembers her favorite memory being when her dad would bring out a radio and letting her stand on his feet as they danced around.

His usual choice of music was Elvis Presley, so by the time she was six, Luna had successfully learned most of the words to any Elvis Presley song you could think of. Her favorite was always Can't Help Falling in Love because they would slow dance to it, Andres picking up Luna and letting her cling onto him as he swayed them.

So you could imagine when that song began playing at the wedding, Luna was ready to burst into tears all over again. She was quick to grab onto Tom's hand when the newly weds stepped out onto the dance floor to begin their first dance, the familiar song playing loudly.

Tom squeezed her hand in response, not looking away from the married couple, already knowing why she grabbed onto him. It didn't take him very long to realize that Luna was emotional, in the sense that she happy cries whenever the chance arises. So now, watching her father dance with her now step-mother, he could imagine she was at her happiest.

As the song came to a close, the dj called for more couples to join them on the dance floor for another slow dance. Luna didn't hesitate to stand up, Tom's cheeks flushing as she began leading him closer to the married couple. He didn't have an issue dancing with the girl in his pajamas at home, but they've never really danced in front of such a big crowd, and it didn't help that half of this crowd was her family.

They ended up situating themselves right beside Andres and his wife, Alicia, Andres grinning at them. Luna smiled right back, before turning back to Tom. "Don't look so mortified," She whispered, his eyes swinging back over to her. "It's just me." She moved his hands until they were resting on her hips, her own wrapped around his neck.

It only took a minute or so for Tom to relax himself, forgetting about the big crown of family members watching cautiously, and focusing on the girl with her head resting on his chest. His eyes traveled over to Andres and Alicia, the two smiling sweetly at one another.

He glanced back down at Luna, before looking back to Alicia. He began picturing Luna in her position; a bright smile on her face as her wedding dress moved with each step she took. He bit the inside of his cheek to stop from smiling at the thought, gaze traveling back to Luna. He squeezed her hip slightly, making her raise her head, brows furrowed. He jutted his head out towards Alicia and Andres. "I can't wait for that to be us."
