Chapter 12 - Guru

(POV Elijah)

Mabilis na lumipas ang oras habang kausap ko ang batang to. She knows a lot about everything. She's like an ancient guru stuck in a kid's body.

We talked about anything under the sun. I detailed kung paano ko nadiscover ang plan ni Adrianna at ni Marco. Nagtatanong siya about my love life and surprisingly, I see myself opening up to this kid.

Nakakagulat dahil hindi ako nag-oopen ng ganito sa mga buddies ko. Kahit sa dalawang kambal kong kapatid, hindi ako nagkwekwento about my lovelife.

I checked my watch and it is already past five in the morning. Madaling araw na pala. Ilang oras na kami nagdadaldalan ng batang to.

"Hey, Kimberley Dawn, anong gusto mong breakfast? O mas gusto mo ba muna matulog kaysa kumain? Mukhang pagod ka na. Tandaan mo, may lagnat ka kahapon."

"I can die in peace now since I am with you, Elijah Zamora Torres."

"Shut up, kiddo! Pancakes or just plain coffee?"

"One bare naked Elijah will do and add some maple sauce please?"

"Saan mo ba nakukuha ang energy mo? Oh right, from me di ba? I am your life source, right? You can't practically live without me. And I am your so-called one true love."

"Very funny! Lumayas ka na nga sa harap ko bago pa kita kiss sabay hug!"

"I think I need that, kiddo. My heart is broken right now. Your hugs and kisses can mend it."

"Shoooo! Go away! Before I change my mind!"

She is so fond of these types of jokes, pero pag ginamit ko to against sa kanya, she seemed like an annoyed little girl. All I can see is her cute pouting lips and flaming nose.

Aside from Kim, wala naman akong interest na makipag kaibigan sa ibang babae. Alam ko kasi na the moment na magkaroon ako ng kaibigan na babae, mag fafall sila sa akin.

I am sweet, charming, rich and fucking handsome. But this girl seems to captivate my interest, like I can be one hundred percent me without her judging me. Para siyang si Vienna at Sierra na tanggap ako kahit anong sabihin ko at kahit anong ipakita ko.

For weeks, I took care of Kimberley Dawn. I am surprised to see myself caring for someone outside my family. Siguro kasi naguiguilty din ako sa nangyari na accident. Buti na lang ang parents ni Kimmy ay kakilala nila mommy at daddy.

I took the initiative to take her to school and pick her up whenever I am free. Siguro kung dalaga na si Kimmy, iisipin ng ibang tao na girlfriend ko siya kaso highschool lang siya at college na ko. Para kaming mag kuya talaga.

Months passed and I totally enjoyed the company of this kid. Her tantrums are amusing and it became my habit to tease her or to make her angry about practically everything. Ang sarap pala mang-asar.

Mabait kasi akong bata noon at never ko inasar ang dalawa kong kambal na kapatid. Prinsesa ang turing ko kay Vienna at Sierra. 

Kay Kim, naranasan ko ang satisfaction ng pang-aasar.

Of course, she did not stop with her own signature jokes. I am beginning to wonder if this girl is really in love with me or she is just getting inside my head. Palagi niya kasi sinasabi na mahal niya ko.
