Chapter 24 - Coffee Shop

(POV Kim)

Masakit tanggapin na ikakasal na si Elijah at ang mga mata ko ang nag suffer dahil sa kakaiyak. And yet, this made me realized how much I love Elijah. If I really love him, I will do my best to make him mine.

"So totoo pala ang chismis ha?" sabi ni Pam nung nasa loob kami ng coffeeshop.

"Yep, siya mismo ang nagsabi sa akin."

"At bakit parang di ka affected? You are supposed to be crying, hurting, grieving, things like that. Unless you are planning to break the engaged couple apart?" taas kilay na tanong ni Pam sa akin pero di ko siya sinagot.

"Kimberley! Kung ano man ang binabalak mo, itigil mo na yan. Magmumukha ka lang kontra bulate sa isang perfect love story."

"Kim, bakit kailangan mo tong gawin? Hindi matutuwa si Elijah sa mga plano mo."

"Dahil wala akong tiwala kay Monica. I don't think that she's the perfect wife for Elijah. I saw him few months ago nung pumunta ako sa building nila about a certain event. She is talking with another colleague, another lawyer perhaps. And it seems that the bitch is into that man. There is something going on, I know!"

"Selos lang yan, itigil mo yan."

"Pam, they kissed when the elevator is about to close!"

"Kim, it was probably a friendly kiss. Why can't you just accept the fact that your best friend is marrying the girl of her dreams?"
