Chapter 20 - Joshua

Dahil sa bagong kotse na bigay ni Lolo Demmy, medyo na divert kahit papaano yung attention ko. Masakit pa din yung mata ko sa kakaiyak kagabi.

Ang hinayupak na si Elijah, walang preno magkwento kay Monica. Sinabi ko na nga na ayaw ko pag-usapan si Monica. Ang walang hiya, kwento galore ng mga plans niya for wedding proposal.

When the graduation ceremony started, I am dying to hear my name to finally graduate in college. For me, this is such a life changing event.

Charot lang! It was a boring event. Gusto ko na umuwi agad!

After the ceremony, lumapit sa akin si Joshua na may dala na bouquet of yellow roses.

"You look great with those curls," he complimented my hair as he gave the bouquet. Buti pa tong tao na to marunong ng appreciation.

"Thank you, Josh. Congratulations! Panigurado maraming company ang kukuha sayo."

Did I mention Joshua before?

I guess not, because my life is so pre-occupied with the existence of Elijah Torres. Palagi na lang siya nasa isip ko. Hindi na ko nakamove-on sa pagkacrush ko sa kanya at ngayon, sobrang lalim na pagmamahal ko sa kanya.

Joshua Evans is my classmate, another psychology student and he is the top in our class. Cute naman si Joshua parang boy next door. At kung hindi pag-aari ni Elijah ang puso ko, I will fall head over heels for this guy.

"Are you having dinner with your parents later? If you are free, you can join our dinner party in our house."

"Josh, you are so sweet. Kaso my plan na kami ni mommy at daddy later. Gusto namin try yung sophisticated Korean unlimited buffet."

"Is that so? How about next time? We can also have dinner, just the two of us."

Wow, inaask ba ko ng date ni Josh?

Di naman ako manhid, I know that he is being extra nice to me. Minsan nga nabanggit niya very slight na may feelings siya para sa akin, pero di ko ineexpect na he will ask me for a date. Sabagay graduate na kami ng college ngayon. Hindi na masama ang makipag date.

"Of course, Josh. Alam ko magiging busy ka na sa susunod. We can have dinner together, yung tayo lang dalawa."

"What dinner are you talking about?"

A familiar voice roared from my back. Paglingon ko sa likod, I saw the man who made me cry last night.

Kaloka, bakit andito tong pogi na to? Akala ko ba nasa Beijing siya?

"Bakit ka andito? Akala ko nasa ibang bansa ka?" taas kilay kong tanong sa kanya.

"I have a private plane kiddo."

I turned my back on him and faced Joshua. Gusto ko malaman niya na hindi lang siya ang lalake para sa akin. May Monica siya, may Joshua ako.

"Dinner next week sounds good to me, Josh. And thanks for the flowers!" sabi ko sa isang malanding boses. Wala ako pakialam kahit marinig ni Elijah.

"Cool, you will not regret it."

Elijah deliberately faked a cough. Nagpapansin si gago.

"Oh, Josh. This is Elijah Torres, my friend. Elijah, this is Joshua Evans, a special friend and a classmate of mine."

Elijah politely offered his hand and Josh smiled at him. Kilala ko si Josh na puno ng confidence pero kahit siya, nabobother sa presence ni Elijah.

"Please to meet you, Sir. Kim, let us keep in touch. I have to go now. I will call you later, okay?"

"Sure, Josh. Hintayin ko yung tawag mo."

I intentionally winked at him like a flirtatious girl. Kung bakit ko ginawa yun, di ko rin alam. I also made sure that Elijah will see it. Josh blushed as he sweetly smiled at me.

May mababago ba kung paselosin ko siya?
