Badtrip naman si mommy. Ang ganda ganda ng panaginip ko pero tawag ng tawag sa pangalan ko. Napanaginipan ko na kami na daw ni Elijah at super sweet kami as a couple.

I checked the clock and it is past ten in the morning. I overslept. I missed my fucking bed eh.

Sabi ng mga doctors baka ilang weeks pa bago ko pwede magtrabaho kaya inuubos ko ang oras ko sa pagreresearch kay Elijah.

Oh shoot! Lolo Demmy is one of the last people that I want to see right now. Huli kong kita sa matandang ay nung nagplaplano kami kung paano sirain ang kasal ni Elijah.

With less than an hour, the patriarch of the Zamora family finally arrived. He is alone and is only accompanied by his driver.

"Kimberley Dawn Everton. Kamusta ka na?" tanong niya sa akin sabay yakap.

"Nasabi nila sa akin na ikaw ang nag provide ng funds para sa hospital bills ko. I am eternally grateful. Ang laki na tuloy ng utang ko sayo. Tumatanggap ka ba ng forever supply ng miniature cake?"

"Psssh! Don't mention it. What are friends are for?" he smiled widely like a child.

Si Lolo Demmy ay parang isang barkada ko na kahit matanda na siya. Alam ko na madami tao na takot sa kanya pero pag kasama ko siya, para kaming magkaibigan. He always told me that I reminded him of his stubborn granddaughter, Sierra.

Alam din niya na mahal ko si Elijah. I never failed to tell him the stories of my despair, but he is always there to cheer me up and asked me not to give up on his grandson.

"Thank you, Lolo Demmy. Ang tagal ng tatlong taon and even the doctors said there was no guarantee that I will wake up any sooner. But you never gave up on me."

"Kim, alam mo na parang tunay na apo na ang turing ko sayo. My grandchildren treat me with so much respect, pero ikaw? Tinatawag mo pa ko minsan na matanda dahil sa sobrang close natin. I have to admit, aside from Franco, you are a very good friend of mine despite our age difference."

Totoo naman na madalas ko tawagin si Lolo Demmy na tanda. Madalas ko din siya asarin pero naging close talaga kami at nararamdaman ko na isang tunay na apo talaga ng turing niya sa akin.

"Aside from Elijah and Pam, ikaw din lolo ang pinaka ka-close ko. Mas alam mo pa nga ang feelings ko kay Elijah kaysa sa kanya."

"Do you remember you made a promise to me that you will take care of my grandson?"

"Lolo, ang tagal na nun. Move on din pag may time. Your grandson seems to be doing fine these days."

"Is that so?" the old man raised his brows.

"Nakita ko sa balita that he is happily committed to Cassandra Rineheart. I bet they are planning to get married. It is also good for your business kapag nag merge ang company mo at company nila Cassandra. I don't have plans of ruining it now," mahinang sabi ko sa kanya.

Biglang tumawa ng malakas si Lolo Demmy as if he find Elijah's marriage is funny. Nothing's changed. Weird, old man.

"Elijah is your best friend. You know every corner of his mysterious mind. Do you think he can easily be tied to marriage?"

Lolo Demmy knows his grandson well. Alam niya na hindi fan si Elijah ng wedding bells. He hated this kind of shit ever since his ex girlfriend unexpectedly announced their fraud engagement during his college years.

"Lolo, asan nga pala si Monica? The twins mother? I saw in the news that their wedding was canceled."

"Let us not talk about her. Another reason why I am here is because this handsome old man in front of you is turning seventy five this weekend. I want you to be there in my diamond birthday as people call it. Sa Seattle gaganapin, kasama ang mommy at daddy mo."

"Andon si Elijah. I am not exactly prepared to see him right now. He didn't even bother to contact me ever since I woke up. As if wala na siya pakialam sa akin."

"Forgive my grandson. He is busy running my kingdom while I am having the time of my life. So, I am expecting you to be there. My assistance Carla Stevens will be in touch," the old man grins like a child.

"Lolo Demmy, di ako sure ha?"

"Good, I am really expecting that you will be there. See you on weekend then. I don't care about gifts, kiddo. I just want you to be there."

Sabi ko di ba hindi ako sure? Demanding talaga tong matandang to!

Sabagay, I owe my life to him. The doctors can easily pull the plug of my life support without his finances. Mom and dad cannot produce such tremendous amount money for my hospital bills.
