amanda is a badass. one of many. together, they do drugs during school hours. they run through the hallways and rip down posters. they have no respect for teachers or any authority. at least half of them have motorcycles, tattoos, piercings. except for her. when she's alone, she might light a cigarette here and there. or she might sass a teacher or two, but she doesn't go over the top like her friends. she's actually a good student if she's not with her friends. around her friends though, she's the complete opposite. she'll get detentions from her teachers. she'll rip down hundreds of posters. she'll drive their motorcycles even though she doesn't have a license to. she'll do anything to keep her friends.
ethan is a nerd. he's a sensitive and a hard working guy. he volunteers his time tutoring. he always answers questions in class. he respects the teachers and is really close with a few of them. the other students call him a teacher's pet, but he doesn't care. all he cares about is his grades. oh and amanda. ethan sees the good in her. he notices how different she is when she's not around her friends. he knows that she is a truly good person at heart.
a few weeks ago amanda and ethan got paired up for an english project. he went to her house for the first time and even went in her room to work on the project. ethan was blown away. he never thought that he would enter a girl's house, let alone amanda's. after several hours of working on that project, they took a break. she lead him down to the kitchen and sat at a table, next to him. they were so close that if ethan moved an inch, he would touch her. amanda looked at ethan and smiled. he blushed and smiled back. "you're cute" she whispered causing ethan to blush.
ever since then, ethan couldn't get her off his mind.
amanda's pov
the school day was over finally over. i shove my books into my locker before slamming it closed, catching a glimpse of ethan. he looks at me and walks towards me, a blush upon his cheeks. i smile at how adorable he is and remember how many times he blushed like that at my house. ever since then, i couldn't get him off my mind.
"hey ethan" i say
"h-hi" ethan shyly say with a slight stutter
"i like your sweater, even though it's really hot outside"
"i-i like wearing sweaters. n-no matter how hot it is"
i giggles "that's-"
"hey amanda" one of my friends yell
i turn my attention towards all my friends
"drop the nerd and come on" another one says
i look at ethan and see that he's staring down at his feet "y-you can go" he mumbles
i shake my head "no. i'm staying. i want to hang out with you"
ethan looks up from his feet "r-really?"
i smile "really"
i gently take his hand and walk past my friends
"if you go with him, you're not our friend anymore" one of them shouts from behind us
i raise my hand and flip them off, still walking with ethan. hand and hand.
we start walking towards my house
"w-why'd you drop your friends for me?" ethan asks
the question catches me a little off guard
i stop and turn towards him "they're not worth it, but you are"
ethan blushes "w-why are you so nice to me?"
"i like you ethan. i've always liked you"
ethan's cheeks turn a dark crimson color "i-i like you too, but i never thought you would like me back"
"how could i not like you? you're everything and anything i could ever want in a person"
his cheeks darken even more "t-thanks"
i smile "you're welcome, ethan"
i look at his lips and slowly lean in. he leans in slightly, connecting them. he kisses back gently causing me to smile at how nervous he is
"i've been wanting to do that ever since you came over to my house" i whisper
"m-me too"
ethan smiles and kisses my cheek "w-would you like to be my girlfriend?"
i smile widely "i would love to"
and that was the beginning of how a badass falling in love with a nerd
