I sat up but immediately fell back down as pain spread through my back.

"Fuck." I hissed.

"Watch your language." I heard a familiar voice say.

"Well excuse me Kakashi you didn't just have back surgery did you?" I snapped looking at him. "Shouldn't you be resting you look pretty beat up?" I asked observing his condition.

"I'm fine. How are you?" Kakashi asked sitting on my bed looking at me.

"Fine." I mumbled.

He gave me a small smile then walked out of the room. I felt a tingling on my right wrist and looked at it and my eyes went wide seeing what was there. There around my wrist was a mark like a tattoo of something like a branch with leaves. The fuck is this?

"It's a mark Mikio gave you to show he's chosen you to hold the title one with spirits." Rico said in a casual manner.

"Excuse me. The fuck. Like shit! I can't have a responsibility like this. Make it go away. Or tell Mikio i can't fucking handle this responsibility." I said worried.

"It can't be taken back now. Besides you're more than ready to take on this responsibility. I've know for a very long time that you would grow strong and one day be know as one with spirits." Rico reassured me.

I sighed and looked at the ceiling but soon looked at the door again when I heard it slam open and my brother ran in with my two uncles walking behind him. My brother soon made it to the side of my bed and looked over me.

"What the actual fuck is wrong with you?" I asked looking at my brother.

"Well I'm sorry if my sister was once again reckless." He mumbled.

"And completely useless and was unable to be of any use." I mumbled.

My brother and uncles looked at me shocked. Great just mother fucking great. Now they're going to get wired.

"You are not useless." Mamoru said.

"You are strong and a capable young lady." Takeo said.

"Don't forget all the good you've done." Ichiro.

I rolled my eyes at them and waved my hand in a dismissive manner. My brother was about to speak again but stopped when someone walked in the room. It was Choji and my family left reluctantly leaving me alone with Choji. He sat on a chair at the side of my bed and just looked at me without saying anything.

"Cho you okay?" I asked.

"Yea I just got really worried." He said.

My head tilted to the side in confusion.

"Why?" I asked.

"You really don't realise how important you are to people. I was worried because I watched them carry you into the village and I was scared you were dead." Choji said looking down.

I grabbed his hand and our fingers intertwined. I looked him in the eyes with an apologetic look.

"I'm sorry I worry you Choji. It's just I always feel so useless and powerless and I want to help people. I never want to leave you. I love you more than anything Choji and that will never change." I said with a sad look.

"I love you to Hitomi and I always will." Choji said.

He soon had to leave so I could have a checkup and get my daily treatment. Once the nurse left I looked at the promise ring. A sigh escaped my mouth as I grabbed the butterfly necklace.

"Did you ever realise Choji is one of the only people you show your weaknesses to." Rico said.

"Yes that's because I trust him with my life." I said.
