The brat is growing on me

I sat on a rock with my eyes closed. It looked like I was completely ignoring everything. But in reality I was sensing what was happening in the forest. A small smirk came to my face when I sensed the team with that cocky brat get into a fight with my brother who was one of the jounin in there. He wasn't going to go easy on them. He didn't like the kid that threw a kunai at me and he was going to make it harder for him.

After about 4 hours and beaten team came limping out holding each other up. I looked up and then and they collapsed in front of me holding up the flag. I took the flag making sure it was authentic and it was.

"Well done. You've made it past the first stage." I said to them.

They bowed to me and went to rest under a tree. Soon the chunin they went up against landed beside me.

"How were they." I asked continuing to look towards the forest.

"They had a bit of trouble tracking me so they should work on that but when fighting me they had great teamwork." He said.

"How do you think they'll do for the rest of the exam?" I asked.

"I'm not sure if they'll be able to past the other instructors test." He said.

"So you saying I'm being to easy on them." I said with my arms crossed.

"No ma'am but if a test has tracking to do with it than they probably won't do well." He said nervously.

I gave a small laugh and he relaxed. I focused but to the forest and I felt my brother coming out of the forest. So he got beaten. I found the location of the team that beat him and they were resting. They better be careful another team might try and steal their flag. My brother soon came out and sat next to me pouting.

"That bad huh." I said with a small laugh.

"Those brats are stronger than they look. And that damn cocky brat kept opening his big mouth. I swear he better be happy I couldn't use my full strength." Mamoru said angrily.

"This is a test to see if the genin are ready to become chunin. Your personal feelings don't matter." I said looking at my brother.

"Why are you being so mature about this?" He asked.

"It's not just my name on the line it's the leafs my family's and Shikamaru's. I don't want to screw this up." I said simply.

He went quiet and I went back to focusing on the forest. Soon the team with the cocky brat in it came walking out of the forest looking tired. They walked up to me and handed me the flag. I looked over it and passed them.

"Well done. You passed." I said.

"Damn strait we passed. I bet I could beat you with my eyes closed." The cocky brat said.

"Kuro shut it. She's the one letting us pass don't piss her off." The girl growled grabbing his ear.

"Kuro is it?" I asked the boy and he nodded. "Listen here it's not bad to have confidence and be proud of your strength however if you come off cocky like you do you're going to be killed. I'm a jounin and you're a genin. You should respect those of higher rank than you. Who knows what you'll learn if you do." I said to him.

He growled and walked away with his team. A gave a small smile and continued to watch the forest.

"You stayed calm." Rico said.

"What can I say the brat is growing on me." I said back to Rico.
