One with spirits

a test

I ran home saying goodbye to Choji but before I went home I delivered something to the Hokage office for later. it was early and the sun was beginning to rise. I jumped through my window to see my uncle and brother standing there looking at me. I gave a small smile and I was tackled into a hug by my brother. I sighed and got out of his grasp.

"where were you?" Takeo asked.

"I fell asleep at Choji's house." I said.

My brother looked at me suspiciously. I rolled my eyes and him and walked out of my room. when I did I saw Hikaru sitting there.

"Hey, Hitomi you should ask her to help you get new clothes because your last ones were destroyed." Rico said.

I gave a small nod and sat in front of her. she gave me a small smile and grabbed my hand.

"Takeo asked me to take you shopping for some clothes because your last ones were destroyed so let's go." She said happily.

I gave a small nod and she led me out of the house and we went to multiple clothing stores but couldn't find anything that suited me. I was about to just stop because I had to meet the kid soon, however, I agreed to go to one last place. we entered the store and I looked around to find nothing. I was about to leave when Hikaru passed me an outfit and pushed me into the changing rooms. I sighed and put on the outfit.

I looked in the mirror and I was wearing a black turtleneck shirt that had no sleeves. I wore black fingerless gloves that came up past my elbows. I had a green skirt on that sat under my chest and stopped just above my knees. I had fishnet stocking and black ninja boots that came up past my knees. I also used my forehead protector as a belt and wrapped it around my waist.

I sighed and walked out of the dressing room and Hikaru gushed at me. she grabbed me and spun me around and gave me a hug.

"You're so adorable." she gushed.

I slightly blushed but smiled none the less.

"than you. I have to get going because I have to meet someone. but you should come over for dinner." I said.

She nodded and she paid for the clothes before I could. I sighed. I'm going to have to give her back the money. I walked to the training grounds and sat in a tree waiting to see if the boy would actually show up.

"I hope this boy is ready. you are not I nice person to train with." Rico said.

"The kid wants to become a chunin like his teammates and I've decided to help him." I said shrugging.

Rico just slightly laughed. soon the boy showed up looking confused. he sat on the ground and i let him sit there for a few minutes seeing if he would notice me but he didn't.

"what was I thinking. who would wanna help an idiot like me." he mumbled.

he got up and went to walk away but I jumped in front of him stopping him.

"Lesson one is to be aware of your surroundings," I said seriously.

he slightly umped away. I looked at him seriously and he shrank away. I heard him gulp and he started to sweat but I could tell he was trying to hide it.

"what do you mean. you are way too late." He said brushing me off.

"do you want my help in training or not?" I asked.

he looked conflicted and I observed him carefully. he met my gaze and there was slight fear. I'm guessing he has learnt a thing or two about me from his sensei considering he probably talked to him before he came here.

"I told my sensei about this and he said it was a great opportunity to be trained by you because of your strength and intelligence. so yes I would like to train with you." He said slightly nervous.

"are you sure because there's no backing out. I'll be putting you through hell. you have to be absolutely sure about this." I said firmly.

"I'm certain." He spoke clearly and firmly.

"okay. first I need to test your skill with I test." I said smiling.
