One with spirits

Seeing Gethan again

I stood in the hokages office trying to find the right words to make this request. I needed permission to leave the village but I didn't want to worry her and I didn't want to go on a team.

"What brings you here Hitomi?" The hokage asked.

"I wish for permission to leave the village for a bit." I said firmly.

"And why is that?" She asked.

Great just great. What am I going to come up with. If I tell her the truth she'll probably think I'm crazy.

"Hitomi just tell her. I think she believes in your ability and your visions." Rico said trying to reassure me.

I took a deep breath. He was right it was best just to tell her the truth.

"I had a vision lady hokage. And I want to stop it from coming true." I said.

"A vision of what?" She asked.

"A vision of Asuma's death. Please allow me to leave so I can and stop it from becoming a reality." I said and my voice slightly cracked.

The hokage looked slightly shocked while I held desperation in my eyes. I couldn't let Asuma die. I had to try and stop it. Not just for me but for my friends they would be broken if Asuma died and I want to stop them from feeling that way.

"Very well you have permission to leave the village." She said.

I looked at her shocked. Was she serious.

"Thank you lady hokage." I said witch a bow.

I ran out of her office and ran to Kakashi's apartment and packed my things. Everything I needed was here and I was glade because I didn't want to see my family right now. I loved them yes but I had to focus on the task at hand and that was saving Asuma.

I jumped out of he window and ran out of the village. I have it figured out who killed Asuma and get to them before that get to Asuma. But how was I going to figure out who did it.

"Ask Gethan." Rico said.

"Wait the spirit I met when I went to the spirit realm. How would he know?" I asked.

"He has his ways." Rico said.

"Then how do I get his help?" I asked.

"Call his name." Rico said.

"How will that help. He doesn't like me." I said unsure.

"He may not act it but he has a kind heart." Rico reassured.

I nodded and took a deep breath relaxing. If you can help than please hear my call.

"Gethan." I muttered.

I felt my body fall to the ground and I black out. When I opened my eyes I was in something that I could only explain as an empty volcano with birds flying near the opening. I looked around confused then I heard something behind me and I quickly turned around to see Gethan behind me.

"Why did you call me?" He asked.

"Why did you answer." I said crossing my arms.

"You're in my home I ask the questions." Gethan said firmly.

"Rico said you could help me figure out who killed a friend of mine before he dies." I said.

"That damn Rico. Why is he dragging me into this mess." Gethan growled.

"Please help. I can't deal with another death not after he-" I cut myself off as tears filled my eyes.

I leaned against a wall feeling my body go weak. Imagines of Ichiro ran through my mind and I clutched my head. I felt myself slipping to the ground but I stopped when Gethan help me stay up.

"Fine I'll help you figure out who killed your friend." He said.

"Thank you Gethan." I mumbled weakly.
