I sat at a table in the library with Shikamaru as he was planning the chunin exam.
"You'll be doing the first stage of the chunin exam do you know what you want to do." Shikamaru said lazily.
I sat thinking for it for a bit. Suddenly I smiled and looked at Shikamaru and he sighed.
"What are you planing now?" He said with a sigh.
I began explaining the stage to him and he looked at me and sighed.
"This is going to be a drag to set up." He said.
"I already have people in mind hat can help." I said.
He nodded and we began making a list of jounin and chunin that would help with the first exam. Once the list was done we both split up to ask the people if they could help most of them said yes and we soon had enough people for the stage. Shikamaru and I met up again and I smiled at him.
"See that wasn't to fucking hard." I said to Shikamaru.
"It was still a drag." He said.
I punched him and he groaned rubbing his arm. I smiled remembering our child years and how we were best friends. We've grown apart as we've gotten more responsibilities but we're still close.
"Do you remember how we even became friends." I said smiling.
"Of course Choji." Shikamaru said.
"Yea. I'm glad I met you two because you have changed my life." I said smiling at Shikamaru.
"You can thank your boyfriend for that he's the one that insisted on us inviting you to lunch." Shikamaru said scratching his cheek.
"What?"
"You walked out of the class when lunch began and Choji dragged me to find you. Saying you had such lonely sad eyes that he wanted to see light within and he was going to make sure that happened."
My eyes slightly widened and a small smile as well as a blush came to my face.
"It was that obvious." I mumbled.
"Kinda." Shikamaru said with a shrug.
Shikamaru and I soon parted ways and before I went home I went to the hill where I ate lunch when I was in the academy. I leaned against a tree looking at the view. I smiled and looked up to the sky. I was such a cold bitch back then trying to push everyone away. But despite that Choji never gave up on becoming friends. never gave up on me.
"He's a sweet kid. I knew the moment we met him that you two would have formed a relationship as you grew. I guess I was on the bullseye." Rico said.
"To bad it took me so long to realise my feelings towards him I was such an idiot." I said with a laugh.
"But at least you got together because you two are meant to be." Rico said happily.
"But I don't know if I'll live long enough to actually have a happy family with him." I said with a sigh looking at my promise ring.
"I promise you I will make sure you two grow old together." Rico said with determination.
"thank you Rico." I said with a smile before heading home.
