Chapter 31

"I give up!" I storm into the house and flop on to the couch. "Why, every time we don't find it we're just one step closer to finding the perfect one." Derek sits down beside me and put his arm around me. "No, we've seen everything out there with in this one afternoon. Nothing was good enough." I cross my arms. I'm almost positive that I sound like a fricken three year old that didn't get that special doll that they wanted from that one store. "Ok, how about this. We buy a piece of land and build our own house." I look at him with a confused look. "We build our house?" He starts to laugh "ok, maybe we won't be building it but we help design our dream house then we hire workers to build it." "Oh! I like that idea." He squeezes me "good."

"Hey Derek!?" I shout as I walk into the kitchen. "Yeah?" He puts down his cup of tea and folds up his news paper. I smile a little smile. "What?" A smile appears on his face. "Nothing, it's just you look a lot like Harrison, drinking tea, and reading the news paper." "Oh" he lets out a little laugh. "Anyway, I just came to tell you that Natasha's in town for the night so, we're going out for dinner." "Oh ok" Derek opens the paper and starts reading again. "Have fun!" He shouts as I shut the door.

"Maddie!" Natasha waves as I walk in the doors of the resturant. "Hey!" I walk over to the booth she was in. "Why are you in town? Shouldn't you be on tour with Harry? Where are the kids?" "Don't even get me started, I'm in town because my stupid company screwed up some papers. I knew I shouldn't have gone with him but, I wanted to be with my husband. Now I'm back in town for the next few weeks because of this one mistake that shoouldn't have happened. I'm not sure if it would be even worth going back on tour with him. By the time this problem is solved......" "Ya... Wait! Where are the kids? You never answered that question." "Oh, back at the house. Darcy didn't want to go on the road in the first place. Mya did, but you could tell she was getting tired. She's to young to go on tour I think." "You think!?" I snap back at her. "Ok, ok... Your the smart one. Remember? I'm the funny one." "Sure" I grin.

"Hey, how was dinner?" Derek asks as I walk in the bedroom. "Good" I flop onto the bed. "What did you eat?" "Um, chicken salad." "Yum!" He puts his phone on the side table. "Umhum" I roll over so I was facing him. "I missed you" I kissed him. "I missed you too." He kisses me again. We both smile then I ask what he's watching. "I'm watching those videos." "Why?!?!" I laugh and I get up to go change into my pj's. "Because they're funny, and cute! I think we should make one." "Ya" I laugh and crawl into bed. "Maybe one day." I kiss him good night and turn off the light.
