"So?" Derek nudge me as he's driving us home. "Do you like who you're pared with?" "Are you kidding me!?!?" I freak out "I love him!!! I can't believe u kept that a secret from me!!" I lightly hit his arm. "Yeah, I thought it would be a nice surprise." "What do you think of Jennifer Lawrence?" I ask him hoping he will tell me that me likes me better. We all know that's just a stupid dream though. "Yeah, she's pretty cool......." "Yeah?" I cock an eyebrow. "Yeah but..." He continues "yeah but what??" "She's cool and funny but, I don't think we'll win." I roll my eyes at him. "It's all about winning with you isn't it?" I jokingly say. "No duh!" We both start laughing.
We pull into the drive way and Derek just sits there for a minute. "Are you coming in?" I get out of the car and bend over to look at him. "Yeah in a minute." "Are you ok?" I get back in the car. "Yeah!" He forces a smile on his face. "Go inside and tell Harrison all about this awesome day!" "Ok..." I kiss him on the cheek and head inside. I don't turn back to see what his reaction is because I don't want to know.
"Hey, Harrison! You're never gonna guess who my partner is!" I shout as soon as the sort shuts. "Kevin McHale!" He yells back. "Wow!" I run into the kitchen. "Way to ruin my fun!" "Oh sorry, lets try this again!" Harrison suggested "go back outside and we'll re-do this." I quickly run outside again bumping into Derek. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" Derek just kinda stares at me. "What? Do I have something on my face?" "Wha- oh no, no, no, no!" Derek snaps out of the little trans he was in. "Ok." I turn back around and head back into the house. "Harrison! You're never gonna guess who my partner is!" I run back into the kitchen. "Who!?!?" He sharply turns around acting like he doesn't but wants to know. "Kevin McHale!!" I screech. "I'm going to bed." Derek pops his head into the kitchen. "Keep the noise down....." He looks at me. "Yeah, yeah" I continue with Harrison. "I don't think we have a chance at winning but, hey! It's worth a shot." "You're right!" He agrees "Never give up." "Anyway Harrison I think I'm gonna go to bed." "Ok, goodnight." He gives me a kiss on the forehead before I headed upstairs.
