A grand and spectacular tree stood in the centre of the common room, decorations covering every possible inch of the branches ridding the green leaves from view. There was only one spot that was free of decoration, the top most point. Usually an angel or a star would have a place of honour, but there was nothing yet. It seemed like a simple concept to place a decoration at highest point to bring all the decorations together but two of your colleagues were making mountains out of mole hills.

Hana had picked out a golden shining star that her heart was set on having on the top of the tree, but Reinhardt had quickly swept in to argue the fact. He had an old, and rather tatty, angel that he wanted to take the honoured place.

Honestly it seemed like a silly argument, Fareeha had attempted to get her view in although she realised it was pointless and didn't have the energy or care to continue arguing with them. Angela and yourself were perched on one of the sofas, holding each other close as you watched the argument ensue.

Reinhardt towered over Hana, but she didn't hesitate in arguing with him. She stood up straight, hands on her hips as she attempted to glare at him.

"Why would we want that bit of tat on our tree?" Hana frowned.

"Tat?!" Reinhardt boomed. "We do not need glitzy rubbish on it."

Hana let out a loud scoff. "Glitter and sparkle are the epitome of Christmas."

"It is a traditional holiday, we need a traditional angel on the tree for it."

The two of them argued about the fact a while more, Reinhardt looming further over Hana attempting to assert dominance over the matter.

"I don't believe it matters though. You cannot reach," Reinhardt chuckled assuming the argument would be ended with that.

Hana stomped out of the room, her loud footsteps and the screeching of a chair being dragged across the floor brought her and the piece of furniture back into the room. She placed it next to the tree, jumping on to it. Although she wasn't the same height as Reinhardt she now could reach the top of the tree with ease.

"What now? You have a weak argument," she stated trying to compete with his height.

You let out a sigh, getting rather bored of the argument as it had been going on for a fair while. Holding Angela's hand you pulled her to her feet, clearing your throat to gain the attention of the two arguing foes.

"Please stop it you two," you sighed. "We need to settle this."

"Fine!" Reinhardt huffed. "You choose."

Reinhardt turned to Hana to see if she was okay with that idea.

"Okay, Y/N, you pick."

You already knew what you were going to choose, but you couldn't help but smile softly as you gave Angela's hand a gentle squeeze.

"Well they are both lovely, but truthfully I cannot have my angel so far away from me on top of a tree," you smiled softly at Angela. "I'd have to say the star."

Hana squealed putting the star on top as Angela's face glowed a bright red.

"You are too kind," Angela whispered.

You rolled your eyes at her, leaning in to press a soft and loving kiss to her lips.

"Well you are my angel and I cannot have you all the way up there, I need you by my side."
