Moira O'Deorain- Road Trip (a)

You were a good few hours into your cross country road trip, your travels so far had been okay. The traffic had been okay, no major incidents or roadworks and for once, Moira's road rage had not got you almost hit over the head with a lead pipe by some biker in the back of an alley. There was one... Small problem with travelling anywhere with Moira though, and that was her music choice.

"Wow..." She reeled her head back as you zoomed down the highway as 'life on mars?' Came to a conclusion. "... Was that not just... Phenomenal! The tones, the passion! Truly one of the best things you have ever heard right?" She asked as she fumbled around the glovebox, rifling through it in hopes of finding the next album.

"Yeah, it's cool..." You responded, having never really been 'into' Bowie.

"What do you mean 'okay'? I'm sorry, would you rather me put on some of the rubbish that you like to listen to?" Her hand continued to search through the compartment whilst the other steadied the wheel.

"Well... Yeah if you have any sure!" Your sarcastic quip was not taken lightly, with a mighty 'ah-ha!' Her hand retreated from the glovebox with a cd in tow.

'Maybe you did not like that one, but Space Oddity I guarantee that you will love.' Her slender finger pushed the play button, and music blared from the speakers of her old car. Her hands more than enthusiastically tapped on the steering wheel, this very quickly progressed progressed into full blown drumming, she really got into her music! It was not long before her head was rocking back and forth and her eyes were closed, fine for a jam session at home, not so great for going 70 miles per hour down the motorway.

"MOIRA!" Her eyes shot open and she swerved very jerkily back into the right lane. "What the hell..." She cleared her throat and very carefully indicated into the next lane.

"That just... Happens sometimes, I get lost in the must... Ya'know?"

"No, I don't know, you almost hit that little old lady in the Prius!" She laughed cynically to herself. "You think this is funny?"

"Well I just guess that is what you get for trying to save the planet!"

"Just because you would rather see the rainforests mowed down to make way for hanging gallows doesn't mean we all do... Next time I'm riding with Olivia."
