Winter was taking its toll. Everything was coming to a standstill with the heavy snow, and the school that you worked at had been closed for over a week. You enjoyed having some time at home, but you would have enjoyed it more if your wife could have the time off too. She was a doctor and although her practice that she helped at when she wasn't off helping save the world was closed, she was making house calls to all those in the area, making sure all of those in need got the medical assistance that they needed.

With the foul weather and the extensive work, she did, she spent many hours out of the house, but you knew that she loved her job, so you weren't to complain. You knew that she was due home soon, so waited for her eagerly looking out to the practically fully white surrounding.

Finally, you heard the door unlock, so rushed to meet her there. There in the doorway stood Angela. She had her thick white coat on to battle the cold, but atop of her head was a fine layer of snow, making her pale hair look even paler.

A gentle laugh escaped you. Angela closed the front door behind her before cocking an eyebrow at you. She knew that she looked a little silly with her reddened face from the cold but not funny enough for a laughter.

"What is funny?" She questioned, unfurling her scarf from her neck. "I do not look that hilarious."

"No Love," you smiled. "You look as gorgeous as ever, even if a little bit chilly."

Her eyebrows knitted together. "Then what is humorous?"

Using her now loose scarf to pull her towards you, you held her close enough that you could kiss her, but your lips merely ghosted hers.

"You're my snow angel," you giggled, leaning in to give her a sweet kiss.

She couldn't help but smile at your terrible joke. It was rather accurate at the moment even if it was a terrible joke regardless.

"You're terribly silly," she said, shaking her head. "Luckily I love you ever so dearly."

You began to unbutton her jacket, to give her freedom but smiled up at her. She was the love of your life and even if you made terrible jokes to her, you were glad that she still loved you regardless.

"I love you too, my snow angel."
