An orchestra of complaints swept the sands as the train crept to a halt and the conductor emerged red-faced to explain that the train had broken down many miles from its destination. Seas of people wandered around the freezing landscape but with his everlasting sense of adventure Jesse hoisted you onto the top of the carriage and the two of you held each other and gazed upon the ocean of sky dancing above you.

"I told you to pack for the cold, didn't listen to me, though did you?" Jesse smirked as he wrapped his duster tightly around your goose-bump speckled skin. "This wasn't how I expected our life together to start but I guess it could be worse." For many years Jesse's home had been under the blanket of stars, as so he pulled you backwards into his chest and wrapped his arms around yours.

"It's okay, it isn't as if we were in a rush anyway." Jesse gently placed his prickled chin onto your shoulder and placed his synonymous Stetson atop his head.

"There's no rush, we've got the rest of our lives together." The fire that grew in your heart was almost enough to offset the harsh desert winds as he whispered soft words into your ear. "You should always take the time to look up at the stars every once in a while, will settle the soul right away." You brought your hand up to his face, he was eager to nuzzle his face into your palm, your fingers brushed his tantalizingly cold lips which you slowly pulled down to yours.

"You got something going on in your mind?" He smiled contently and leant backwards against the makeshift pillar of suitcases and luggage, stroking your arm under the coat.

"For the first time in my life I don't think I have anything to worry about." Carefully he made sure the jacket was keeping you comfortable before sliding his hand up and cupping your cheek. "I've got most of my debts paid off, I get to start a new life with the person that I love, and I get to have a completely fresh start away from the troubles of my past. I honestly don't know what else I could possibly ask for."

The tranquillity was broken by the rumbling of the engines and the conductor yelling at two miscreants to get down immediately from the top of the train.
