You wouldn't have known the internet had cut out if it wasn't for Hana screaming as though she had been shot. You had been sat on the sofa reading a book, when she screamed out, scaring the life out of you. Instantly you rushed up to her study, terrified that someone had broken into your home and was attacking her. You didn't know what you'd do if someone was there but luckily there wasn't.
On the floor lay Hana, cradling the Wi-Fi router as though it were a baby. Tears trickled down her cheeks as she held onto it.
"What's wrong?" You asked. "Are you hurt?"
She looked up at you with her teary eyes.
"The wi-fi went out," she whispered. "It won't come back."
Leaving the router on the floor, still connected by its wires she went back to her computer, trying to refresh the connection but to no avail. On the second monitor the picture was hazy, and a large buffering sign spun in the middle taunting Hana.
"It's going to be okay," you smiled softly resting a hand on her shoulder.
Hana was over dramatic when it come to the internet and her computer, but it was something she cared about dearly so you wanted to support her through what she deemed a trying time.
"I don't know what to do with my life," she sobbed. "I was watching FRIENDS and that nasty creature appeared."
You held onto her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
"Is there anything I can do to help?" You smiled softly.
She let out a sniffle as she looked up at you with pleading, tear-stricken eyes.
"I just want to cuddle and watch FRIENDS," she whispered.
Rolling your eyes, you let go of her walking towards the door.
"Come on then. Grab a couple of blankets and I'll put the boxset on," you smiled. "I'll meet you in the lounge."
You made your way back downstairs. Your book was on the floor, unknown to you where you had read up to however that wasn't important at the moment. The book was discarded onto the table as you dug out the FRIENDS boxset from the pile of DVD's, slipping the first DVD into the player and turning on the TV.
Hana trailed down the stairs with two blankets being dragged behind her, her cheeks still stained from her sobbing. She threw the blankets onto the sofa, dropping down onto it too. You joined her wrapping one arm around her to pull her into a hug and using the other one to hold the remote control.
"It's going to be okay."
