Mackenzie's POV

I was waiting for my tacos at the counter with Hayes. My phone vibrated in my pocket so I reached in and took it out. It was a picture message from an unknown number. There was no message attached, only a picture.

My face slowly turned sad as I looked at the picture. Hayes was lip locking with another girl. She was blonde with a good tan. He looked like he was having fun in that picture. The background was all blurry and I couldn't tell where it was taken.

I grabbed my small plastic bag of food and just ran out of Taco Bell. I wanted to be alone.

As I was running back to the hotel I felt tears rolling down my face. Hayes was just using me. Why did I care anyways?

I ran and ran until I got to the hotel and went up the elevator. By the time I reached my room I was crying the kind of cry that made your face extremely wet.

I got no texts from Hayes. And nothing from anybody else either.

I put my food on top of the mini fridge and threw myself down on my bed. Why did he do this to me? I think that Hayes enjoys seeing me hurt like this.

He wasn't getting any second chances this time. And I'm keeping my word on that.

***3 HOURS LATER***

It was already 12 in the morning. I had eaten my Taco Bell and threw the wrappers away.

A little while later I had put on a pair I sweatpants and a red baggy Magcon hoodie. I would shower tomorrow morning.

It was decided; I wouldn't be going to Magcon tomorrow. I didn't want to deal with Hayes and I needed to avoid him as much as possible.

Around 11:45 Sayge walked in and looked worried.

"We didn't know where you went! Hayes said that you ran out of Taco Bell and that was the last he saw of you!"

She closed the door and engulfed me in a hug. I was glad to have a friend like her. Even if we've only known each other for a few weeks.

"Thanks for caring about me... at least you do," I said. Then I began crying again.

Sayge hugged me even tighter an let go of me to look me straight in the eyes.

"Oh no what did Hayes do to you now?" Everything flashes back in my mind and all of our memories were replaying over and over again.

"This unknown number sent me a picture of this pretty girl and Hayes kissing. On the lips. Making out. I'm done with him!" I shouted and threw myself backwards so that I was laying down on my bed.

Sayge stood up and left the room. I heard her knock on another door down the hallway. I decided to use that time to check my twitter.

I tweeted a few things like:
"You don't know what you have until its gone"
"Wow. You really screwed up😔"

People were tweeting and asking who I was sub tweeting about. I just shut my phone off and plugged it in the charger on the side of my bed.

My bed seemed like a good idea so since it seemed like Sayge wasn't coming back anytime soon I clicked off the lights and jumped into bed all curled up in a ball.

Before falling asleep I looked out of the cracks of the window blinds from my bed. Soft rain was blanketing the glass and giving it a blurry appearance.

The noise of the rain soon lulled me to sleep. Sleep, where everything goes away for a little while and everything is better then reality.
