Mackenzie's POV

It was the day after the wedding. Or, as my parents call it, the wedding hangover! (Even though I didn't drink at all last night.)

I groaned and rolled over in my bed. My alarm clock said that it was already 11:30.

The fact that I had to get up and go school shopping today killed me inside. Ugh. Its already the end of August!

My mirror revealed how nasty I looked. There was mascara crumbs all over my face and smudged pink lipstick. Don't get me started on my hair!

I started the shower. As I was striping my pajamas off I looked down and smiled at my promise ring from Hayes.

After my shower I went into my room to get dressed. I picked out a tight fitting floral crop top and a pair or black leather high waisted shorts with two zippers on the sides.

For my makeup I just did mascara and eyeliner. My perfume was vanilla.

Since I had to wait for my hair to dry so that I could scrunch it with gel, I just sat on my giant, fluffy beanbag chair. I hadn't been on Instagram for a while so I checked it.

There were a lot of posts about Madison Beer liking Hayes. I laughed and just scrolled past them all.

Then there was something that caught my eye. Madison DM'd me a picture of Hayes. Her caption was funny, to me.

"@madisonbeer : Hey, Hayes is mine so then why don't you just back off while you can. Or else you'll get hurt. Plus, more people ship me and Hayes rather than with you. So bye sweety and thank you for understanding!"

I typed back instantly.

"Hahaha Hayes loves me so bye! He doesn't even like you because all you do is flirt with all of the Magcon boys that will let you. You're so funny sweety lol byeeexoxo"

Feeling satisfied with myself I went onto Itube to put on some music. The first song that played when I hit shuffle was We Own The Night by The Wanted.

I plugged my iPhone into the I home and went to look for my gel. When I found it I grabbed the thick black head band that was next to it.

Once I went into the bathroom I squirted a dab of gel in my hand and rubbed my hands together.

After I scrunched my whole head of hair I put my black head band around my neck. Then I pulled it so that it went over my bangs and pulled them back with the headband.

Walla! It was about 12:30 by the time I was done getting ready.

Someone knocked on my door as I was just looking out the window.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"Ryan. Mom wants us downstairs and in the car in 5 minutes!" I heard him walk away.

Before I went down stairs I had a quick selfie sesh. A few tries and bam, I had a good selfie to post.

"@xo_xokenzie : Don't ever look back at your past. Instead, focus on the now😝"

I went down stairs and climbed into the car. Ryan was sitting in the front seat.

"So how's it with Hayes?"

It was quiet for a second and I smiled. "Good! Actually, everything is back to normal and better than ever!"

He turned back to me and gave me a high five.

"I knew you wouldn't leave him forever. Good for you sis!" He nodded his head and gave me an approving look.

I was in Forever 21 with my mom. Ryan had wandered off to get whatever kind of clothes he needed.

"I'm going to trust you to be in here by yourself. I want to go to a few stores to get some things. Here's some money. Bye!" She walked away and out of the store.

I was looking through a rack of printed leggings when somebody tapped me on the shoulder.

When I turned around there stood a girl with shoulder length pink hair. It was longer in the front and shorter in the back. (lol sorry I'm a bad describer)

Her nose had a stud in it and she had the greenest eyes you could ever meet with your own.

The girl smiled. "Hi my name is Caroline! Can I get a selfie with you?"

"Sure!" I smiled and she thanked me.

"Hey are you here with anybody?" Caroline nodded no.

"Do you wanna hang out with me while I find clothes for school? It will be fun!"

She squealed. "Sure! Oh my gosh this is awesome! Am I in a dream?"

I laughed. "Wow I didn't know that I really had any fans. Well not a lot at least. It feels nice having people like you come up to me in the store."

Caroline pulled a beautiful maxi skirt off the rack. It had plain white and pink stripes going diagonally across it.

"This would look gorgeous on you! Try it on with this-" she took a plain, tight fitting white v-neck off a nearby rack.

I put the stuff on in the dressing room and honestly I thought it looked good on me.

When I opened the door Caroline gushed. "Oh Mackenzie you look so gorgeous in that! You should so get it! Like really."

I laughed. "Maybe I will. Hey I can be a model!" I spun around so that the skirt flowed around me. Then I walked right up to the mirror, blew a kiss, and walked back into the dressing room.

After getting all the clothes that I needed from Forever 21 Caroline and I decided to grab a bite to eat at the food court.

We sat down after getting a small pepperoni pizza.

" I must ask- how are things between you and Hayes?" I picked up a slice and put it on my paper plate.

"We're good. Better than ever!" She smiled and took a bite of her pizza.

The rest of the day was good. Me and Caroline became really good friends. She gave me her number and I gave her mine. I also got a butt load of clothes and other stuff.

"Bye! Hopefully we will see each other again!" I waved and we went our seperate ways.

My mom and Ryan were waiting for me by the mall entrance. They looked tired.

"Let's go home and sleep the night away!" my mom suggested. A little giggle escaped me.

"What's got you so happy Kenzie?"

"I met this girl today and we walked around together and we're really good friends now!" They nodded, to tired to speak.

It was a great day after all!

Okay I'm really upset and sad about Taylor leaving. But whatever makes him happy makes me happy to. I want him to do what makes him happy. Even though we won't see him that much anymore he'll be happy. And isn't that what you want like I do?
