Hayes POV
I don't want to go to school yet. My mom has been letting me sleep in lately and she wants to send me back today.
"Hayes, I'm sure she'll wake up just go to school for her. She would want you to." I sighed and pulled the sheets over my head.
That's when I got a good idea.
"Fine mom. I'll go. But can I walk today? I don't feel like taking the bus or being dropped off."
She leaned on my door frame. "Fine. Just get ready and make sure you make it to school on time!"
Once she was gone I threw on some clothes and went to the bathroom to fix my hair with some gel. My lions pride body spray made me smell great.
Not like I needed to. I was going to skip school anyways.
I got my phone and my back pack. My vans were easy to step into and soon I found myself walking to the park. Where Mackenzie and I had our first kiss together.
Mackenzie's POV
A piece of paper floated across my face and brushed my nose before falling on my lap. It appeared to be folded in half.
Once I opened it I saw what was written inside of it.
Today you will see the last video to decide if you stay or if you go. Tomorrow you must decide or I will for you. Happy choosing!
I let go of the note and it blew away in the wind.
All of a sudden a few leaves started stirring in the air. Then some more. The sky was now a navy blue color. The speed of the wind violently picked up.
I stood up and looked around. I was shocked to see a white sheet hanging up on a tree that I had never see before. There looked to be a projector in front of it.
A bit scared, I slowly neared the projector, the wind throwing me off a bit.
After fighting the powerful wind in what seemed like a battle, I arrived at the sheet and projector.
I jumped in fright when I saw a string puppet appear on the screen. It looked like me. There was another puppet that was dangling next to me that was in the form of a monster. It jumped on me and all of a sudden the screen went black.
The sky turned black and all I could see was a sea of black. Then a countdown was on the sheet.
When it reached 1 I saw a familiar looking baby appear. It was me. My mom was cradling me in her arms. I was just born. My dad was smiling and my mom was crying. But they were happy tears.
It fast forwarded to when I was starting to walk. And then to when I was a toddler.
My childhood was flashing in front of my eyes. Why did I have to grow up so fast? I was crying now, realizing that I wanted to be a kid again.
Now the screen showed the last few years of my life, but in fast motion.
Now I'm here. I'm stuck in this whole other crazy world that I've never even heard of in science class before.
Tears escaped my eyes as I reflected on my whole life. One fell onto my lips and wet them for me.
There was a pause at the end of the video. It was a video of my whole family sitting together in the hospital waiting room.
My mom spoke up first. "I wish that she would wake up already! I miss my baby girl and I don't want to loose her!"
Then, my grandpa. "She was such a great girl. I miss her. It's to bad she can't hear us right now. But if by chance she can, please don't leave us."
"We love you," someone whispered. There was a silent hum of sobbing and then the screen disappeared into blackness again.
Now was the real decision;
Would I stay or would I go?
