Mackenzie's P.O.V.

I was sitting in bed on my phone. It was 1 in the morning and I was tired but decided to check my twitter before I went to bed.

Nothing new really. It was the same tweets as always. And a few annoying retweets here and there.

I was about to put my phone in the charger when I got a new text message.

It was from my best friend Hayes Grier who lived right next door to me.

"Wanna hang out at the beach tomorrow with me, Nash and his girlfriend Vanessa?:) It will be fuuun!"

I smiled and replied: "Sure, sounds good to me! I'll be over tomorrow morning at 9:30 so be ready:P Goodnight!"

"Goodnight!"

So here's the story behind me and Hayes...

We have known each other since we were 3 years old. Our moms met when we were 2 but they became really good friends when we were 3. But something was different about Hayes...

I've liked him since I was 10...

He was good looking and I knew him well. He wasn't like a typical guy; cheats on his girlfriend, makes out with different girls everyday,etc. Hayes is the kind of guy that will make you feel like a princess while he took the job of being the prince.

But I've never really wanted to tell him because what if I DO tell him and he doesn't like me back (which he probably doesn't) then our friendship would be weird and it wouldn't be the same as before.

Maybe this Summer I would let him know....

Hayes's P.O.V.

After I got a reply from Mackenzie about going to the beach tomorrow, I smiled. She was my best friend but lately I've wanted to be more than just friends...

Ever since I was 10 I've had a crush on her. She was beautiful with her medium light brown layered hair, olive skin, and deep brown eyes. Her smile makes my heart melt. It always has.

I had a feeling that I should tell her but I shouldn't. I didn't want to ruin the friendship that we've had for so long. What if she doesn't like me back? (Which is probably true because she's to beautiful to fall for a guy like me.)

At least tomorrow we were gonna spend the day at the beach together!:)

I plugged my phone into my charger on the side of my bed and turned off the lights. I needed to rest up for tomorrow!

I couldn't wait!!
