Home At Last!

Mackenzie's POV

"Wake up," I heard as I was shaken awake. I looked over to see Vanessa taking her head phones out and putting her phone in her jean pocket.

"How long were we on the plane?" I asked as I made sure I was strapped in.

"A few hours. Are you ready to be home again?" I smiled and nodded.

"Of course I am! I've missed my friends back home but even more I'm going to miss the family." Vanessa got up and we unboarded the plane.

Nash and Hayes met us at the baggage claim so that we could get our bags and catch a cab to take us home.

Hayes stood there quietly. He had something that he was grasping in his hands. Real tight to.

Nash put an arm around Vanessa and kissed her cheek. I frowned because I was filled with loneliness.

Hayes grabbed his bag and waited for us to get ours. Once we all did we caught a cab and headed home.

When Hayes, Nash, Vanessa and I got home we stepped out of the cab with our bags in front of our driveways. "Anybody wanna hang out or nah?" Nash said. We all laughed.

"I can after I bring my bag home and say hi to my mom, dad, and Ryan."

Hayes perked up. "Hey can you maybe ask Ryan if he wants to hang out? You know, with me." I looked into his eyes.

"Yeah sure. If he's not up to anything." Hayes nodded and ran back to his house. But before he left I saw that he was still grasping something in his hands.

"Well I should probably see what he's up to. Vanessa you coming?" Nash said.

"Yeah, see you in a little while Mackenzie!" Vanessa shouted over her shoulder. I waved and walked inside with my bag.

Ryan answered the door. "Hey bro. Hayes wants to know if you wanted to hang out with him. Go over there if you can."

"Hey sis! And okay. Was the trip fun?" He put on some shoes and stepped onto the front stairs. "Yeah! Nothing better!" I smiled and walked inside.

"Mom? Dad?" My voice echoed throughout the house. There were no lights on and nobody answered me so I went up stairs to go unpack.

I opened my room door and turned the light on. This was the place I missed most; home.

I threw my bag onto my bed and unzipped it. Once I did I saw a note on the top of my clothes and everything.

Dear Mackenzie,
I'm sorry that we couldn't make it work. But we can still be friends! Right? Well you have my number and everything so text me if you want to get together or something. Miss you!

I took the note and stared at it for a bit. It made me feel warm on the inside because nobody really wrote me notes like this before. Not even Hayes.

I folded the note and put it on my night stand and took out my phone. I texted Trevor.

To: Trevor😜- heyyy bestie what's up? I miss you!

While I was just about done unpacking I heard my phone buzz.

From: Trevor😜- aye! I miss you to ahaha. Did you land safely yet?

To: Trevor😜- yup! Back to the nice summer in North Carolina

My unpacking was finished so I decided to go through my camera roll to clean it out before going over to Nash's.

I came across a picture of me and Hayes penny boarding together. I remember that day like it was yesterday. That was a moment I would never forget.

It brought tears to my eyes. It was just a bunch of fans that made me so pissy at Hayes. I guess that I just had to get used to it if I'm going to date Hayes. I mean he is famous right?

I wiped the tears away from my face and got up to go. As I got to the front door my phone buzzed.

From: Trevor😜- haha enjoy it while its there! I got to go but text me later?

To: Trevor😜- of course haha you are my bestie. Bye!

Once I had slipped a pair of Hollister flip flops on, I ran over to Hayes's house. Before I could knock on the door I heard whispers from the back yard.

"Hayes? Nash? Vanessa?" I said as I made my way to the backyard. The tree house was open so I went over to it.

"Hayes! Why is Ryan up here? This is our hangout, remember?" I climbed in and sat next to Hayes. Ryan got the signal and got up to leave.

"Text me dude. Bye! And use protection!" He climbed down and left. It was only me and Hayes now.

I looked into his deep blue orbs and began talking. "Hayes I was stupid and for that I'm sorry. Now can I get a little-" I was cut off by his sweet kiss.

It was passionate. I rolled over onto my back and Hayes came on top of me. The whole time I was tracing my fingers across his neck and playing with his hair.

"Wait," I tried to say while we came up for air. "We're to young to do this. Hayes, for goodness sake we're only 13!" I giggled and he laughed. He laid down next to me and snuggled his head into the crook of my neck.

"Mackenzie I have to give you something that I think you'll love." He dug into his pocket for something and then finally, "here. I PROMISE that I won't screw up again. Ever. I love you."

It was the promise ring. I sprawled my fingers out and let him put it back on my hand.

"Why thank you my darling!" I said in a funny tone of voice. Hayes laughed and kissed my neck.

We sat there and cuddled for a long time....

I haven't been updating as much as I should be! *slaps self*😁
It has come to my attention that a lot of people from my school know about my wattpad. Some even make fun of me for it. But you know what?
That won't stop me. So keep trying to get me to stop writing!😝
I deleted my Instagram page @magconpeoples so yeah! A lot of people found that to😒but whatever
