Homebound

Mackenzie's POV

I woke up the next morning and remembered that today everybody was leaving Orlando!

Trying to get ready for my flight I quickly went into the bathroom to take a nice hot shower. As I stepped out of the shower and dried my self off I pulled on a pair of long, black leggings and a light blue baggy hoodie that said, "Lazy." I side braided my hair. Than I put some perfume on.

Finally I put on some mascara, eyeliner, and concealer. I was ready to go!

Clicking off the bathroom lights I grabbed my clothes from last night and went to go and pack them in my bag. I opened all of my dresser drawers and took my clothes out. They were basically just thrown into my bag.

My penny board was packed in the bag as well as my shoes and my other essential stuff I brought along with me.

I left out my plain black flip flops so that I could wear them on the flight back.

Zipping up my bag, I went to go and get my phone and unplugged my charger from the wall. I put my phone charger into a side pocket of my bag and left my phone out.

Once I clicked the home button I saw that the time was 8:45 already! My flight leaves at 10! I shook Sayge awake and tried to get her up.

"Sayge!! WAKE UP I HAVE TO LEAVEEE!" She opened her eyes and rolled over to face me.

"Don't leave me! I'm going to miss you." She pouted at me.

"Sadly I have to go," I said while trying to drag her out of bed for a hug.

"At least give me a hug!" Sayge got out of bed and hugged me super tight.

"Please text me when you get home. We need to get together really soon! Where are you from?"

I slipped out of the hug. "North Carolina. What about you?"

A smile came across her face as she jumped up and down. "Me to! YAYYY WE CAN SEE EACH OTHER NOW!" Apparently she had another flight planned. I jumped to and stopped when my phone buzzed.

From: Nash😂- r u ready to go? Meet me, Vanessa, and Hayes in the lobby.

I put my phone in my hoodie pocket and looked back up at Sayge.

"I'll text you when I land. I have to go though or else Nash will get on the plane without me. Bye bestie!"

We hugged one last time and I grabbed my bag and left. Before I went down to the lobby I said goodbye to everyone else.

Nash, Hayes, and Vanessa were waiting for me. "Took you long enough!" Nash said sarcastically.

I playfully slapped his arm. "Oh shut up."

Hayes attempted to come over to me but I just walked out of the hotel. There was a taxi waiting for us all. Before jumping in I took a moment to say goodbye to Orlando.

We had paid the taxi driver and entered the airport. Everybody was quiet the whole time. It was weird.

All of us had gone through security and got our tickets checked. We sat down on a bench waiting for our flight to be called.

Hayes scooted over next to me. "So, what are we?" I looked into his eyes.

"I don't know. But for now," I started as I slipped the promise ring he had given me off my hand. "I want you to keep this."

With hurt and sadness in his eyes he slowly took the ring and put it in his pocket. "Okay. I get it." Hayes spoke up.

He slouched down in his seat. "Flight 327 to North Carolina."

We all got up and boarded the plane.

I sat next to Vanessa while Nash and Hayes took the two seats behind us. "Goodbye Orlando," I whispered as the plane took off.
