"My flight leaves this afternoon at 3 pm. I should be home at around 5 or 6 pm." Alex says through the phone.

I finish cleaning the kitchen quickly since its almost time for Lily to wake up. Once I'm done, I check the baby monitor again and see her still asleep.

"Hey. What time should we leave?" Alex asks me.

I turn around to look at him.

"Probably eleven. She should be awake by then."

Alex nods, sitting on the couch with his phone. Things were weird between us, of course. He was leaving in twelve hours and most likely not coming back. We were broken up, but still acting as if we're dating. Only because of Lilia. She's the only reason he was even still sitting in my apartment.

After a couple minutes of sitting in awkward silence, I hear Lily crying in her room.

"I'll get her." Alex says.

He stands up and leaves the living room. A couple seconds later, he returns with my baby and she immediately reaches for me.

"Hi, baby."

I stand up and pinch her cheeks, letting Alex hold her, but she's not having any part of it.

She screams, holding her arms out towards me. I take her from Alex and he goes to put his shoes on.

"Let's get you dressed, babe." I walk into Lily's room and place her on the floor while I look for something for her to wear.

It was a little cold outside, so I pick an outfit that will keep her warm if she doesn't have her blanket.

I make sure she's wearing a onesie under the hoodie just in case she gets too hot and I have to take the hoodie off.

"Okay, baby. I think you're ready."

I leave her room and grab her diaper bag before following Alex out of the apartment. Once we get to the car, I put Lilia in her car seat and get in the passenger seat.

Alex drives us to the mall and I take Lilia out of her car seat, placing her in her stroller. She was happy right now, and hopefully it stayed that way.

11:12 am

"Is my baby girl having a good day?" I ask.

She giggles in response.

"Have anywhere specific in mind?" Alex asks me.

"I wanna go to Zara, of course. And Baby Gap."

"Baby Gap is closer. Let's go there first." Alex takes over pushing the stroller and we walk into Baby Gap.

I immediately see a million things I want for Lilia, but I don't get them all. I just get a few onesies and some leggings because if Lilia is wearing a shirt or a onesie, she's wearing leggings with it. There's a few times when she will wear jeans, and joggers when Alex dresses her.

Once we pay for everything, we go to Zara and I find more cute stuff. After Alex pays for that, he says Lilia can't get anymore stuff today and that he wants to buy me stuff instead.

After at least five minutes of him begging to spoil me, I give in and look for stuff in Zara. After finding a few things, Alex pays for them, and we move to Forever 21. It's not actually my favorite store, surprise, surprise. Target is my favorite store, then Zara, especially for Lilia. Forever 21 is in third place then TopShop, which is where we go after Forever 21.
