"Lilia, mommy is gonna clean up today. Are you gonna let me?"

I place Lilia on the floor with some toys and the TV on to distract her so I can clean up. I start with the kitchen, cleaning up Lilia's high chair from breakfast before washing the dishes. I'm able to sweep and mop the floor before Lilia crawls in and uses my legs to stand up.

"You want me to take a break now, huh?" I pick her up and plant a kiss on her head.

"I love you, princess. Do you love me?" Lilia looks away from me at the TV and I laugh.

"I see how it is. Leave me alone then. I think I'm gonna clean your room and your bathroom now." I place her back on the ground and she crawls away.

"Great." I go to Lilia's mess of a room and start picking up clothes and shoes that are on the floor.

During this process, she crawls in and starts playing with the toys that are already on the floor, and taking more out. That is exactly why I did not start with the toys.

I'll probably finish cleaning her room when she takes a nap.

"Lily, why do you have to be so difficult? I'm just trying to clean up."

After all the clothes and shoes are picked up, I put up books and some toys before moving to her bathroom.

I clean the bathtub, the sink/counter and sweep and mop the floor.

12:01 pm

"Lunch time. What do you want to eat, princess?"

When Lilia doesn't answer me, I shrug and decide to make her mac and cheese and a hot dog. That's one of her favorite meals.

Once it's done, I cut up the hot dog and put the pieces on her tray. I just give her water to drink before going to finish cleaning my room.

I really didn't feel like eating, and if I took a long break from cleaning, I would lose the little motivation I had.

I had already cleaned my bathroom, so I was just working on cleaning my actual bedroom. I pick up clothes, shoes, makeup, and make up my bed before I'm finally done.

Lilia is still not done eating when I finish cleaning my room so I just eat some mac and cheese until she is done.

After I clean her high chair and wash the rest of the dishes, we sit on the couch and watch Moana until Lilia won't leave my boobs alone.

"That means nap time."

She eats until she falls asleep and I put her in my bed to take a nap. Now, I can clean the rest of her room. I pick up all the toys she was playing with and put them away. Now, everything is clean.

But I still have laundry to fold. Ew.

When I'm finally done with the laundry, I lay down on the couch, not at all planning to go to sleep, but that's what happens.

2:59 pm

"Mama!" I hear Lilia yell.

I get up immediately and walk to my room. Lilia is standing on the bed but as soon as she sees me, she falls on her butt.

"Hey, baby. Did you have a good nap?" I ask.

Lilia holds her arms out and I pick her up.

"Thank you for letting me sleep for a little. I'm sure you want a snack now." I walk into the kitchen and place Lilia in her high chair.

"What do you want to eat, baby?"

I give Lilia yogurt and crackers while I sit on the couch, watching Boss Baby with her.

"One of these days, we're gonna spend a whole day watching what mama wants to watch. Is that okay? Well guess what! I don't care. It's happening."

Lilia giggles and I smile, picking up my phone. I realized I hadn't talked to Tara about the date she went on a couple nights ago.

I facetime her and she answers on the third ring.

"Hola, mamí!" She says.

"Hey! How was your date on Thursday?"

"Ri, it was amazing. The best date I've ever been on. Joel is so sweet and cute and I just can't get enough of him."

"You can't get enough of him? What exactly happened last night?"

"We went to dinner then to see a movie, then he took me back to his house and... well.. I'm sure you know the rest."

"Oh my God! Tara, I couldn't be prouder."

"Thanks a lot, Ri. This is all because of you!"

"Well, of course. I am pretty good." We both laugh.

"I'm kidding, but you know it was no problem, bestie. I can't wait until you get married." I say.

"Woah, slow your roll. We've only been on two dates." Tara replies.

"I believe you will be engaged by the 7th date."

"Oh, he just texted me! He's asking me on another date tomorrow night. Ariana, this is so great." Tara squeals.

"See, I told you. You haven't been this happy in a long time."

"I know! This is amazing!"

I listen to Tara talk about Joel until Lilia is tired of being in her high chair.

"One second, T. I have to get Lilia." I place my phone on the couch and go get her out of her high chair.

After I clean her up, I place her on the floor and she starts destroying all the hard work I put into cleaning the living room.
