"No, Justin. I put Lilia to bed like 20 minutes ago."
"But I wanna see her!" He says.
"You sound like her, with all this whining you're doing. If she wakes up, you're coming to my apartment and putting her back to sleep."
"That's the goal." He chuckles and I roll my eyes.
"I'm kidding, I don't wanna wake her up. I just wanna see her. She's so beautiful, she looks just like her mom." I blush, leaving my room and walking across the hall to Lilia's.
I push open the door and take my phone over to her crib, just to show Justin her sleeping, before exiting her room and closing the door again.
"Thanks!"
"Yeah, whatever." I walk into the living room and sit on the couch, before looking up and noticing the front door isn't locked.
"Justin?"
"What's up?"
"I didn't lock the door, when I came home from work."
"Well, go lock it now." I stand up and go to lock the door, looking out of the peephole before returning to my room.
"Are you alright?" Justin asks.
"Nope, I'm dead. Thanks for asking, though."
"No, Ariana. Really. Are you okay? You seem scared."
"Of course I'm scared. My door has been unlocked for 7 hours. What if someone came in and they're in here right now?"
"Ariana, I'm pretty sure there's no one in your apartment."
"Well, I'm not sure."
"Hey, I have an idea."
"Oh yeah? And what might that be?"
"You should let me come over and protect you."
"Should I?"
"Yes. I'll go through every room and physically show you that there is no one in your apartment."
"I like that idea. Please come. I will text you my address."
"I'm on my way!" Justin hangs up, and I send him my address before turning my phone off and putting it down.
I'm about to fall asleep on the couch when I hear Lilia crying. I immediately get up and go to her room.
"Hey, princess. What's wrong?" I walk over to her crib and pick her up.
She reaches for my chest, meaning she wants milk.
"You're hungry, babe?" I smile, kissing her head.
I walk back to the living room, and sit on the couch with Lilia. She whines, trying to pull my shirt down.
10:59 pm
Lilia fell back asleep after only 10 minutes of sucking on my boob, and Justin hadn't got here yet, so I was just holding my baby in my arms for a little bit.
