Chapter 8, A Nightmare

(Wayra's POV)
I lay down in the grass and think about what he Daniel taught me. If he and I would of been traveling through worlds for the same amount of time, we would probably be on about the same level. But he had 13 years to practice all of this! He was technically... A 30 year old man by now! Of course he still looked like the 17 year old boy he was. I only really showed a lot of power if me or a friend found themselves threatened to the point of possibly dying unless something was done. I couldn't rely on my power. I had to be able to defend myself like when I was in my own world. Without magic, or bending. I was doing ok so far!

I fell asleep curled up in a ball in the grass. I un-consciously created a warmth spell around everyone including myself while sleeping. I dreamt deeply. I had a heavy weird dream, I dreamt about my friends River and Jaxon again, For some un-known reason, I seem to dream about them a lot! They were yelling at me. They seemed to be trying to warn me about something! What? What is it?! But I woke up before I could find out. Argg! In this world that dream could of been important! They seemed really worried to... I explain everything to Silica and Jason.

(Wayra's POV)
Daniel said, "There have been times where I had similar dreams. They ended up being very helpful."

"Yeah," I said, "They seemed very worried, but I didn't get to hear what it was they wanted to say."

"Give it time," Silica said, "Eventually you will be able to hear them."

"But for now," Daniel said, "Lets start walking."

So we packed up our things and started our travels again. There were many times where we could have taken a train or bus, but Daniel kept on saying no. After we stopped for the day, I asked him about it.

"First off," he replied, "Every time I traveled in a vehicle, there was always someone waiting for me, mostly to try and kill me. Second off, remember I was talking about the Spirit Draco? Well, there's another drawback to being a Dragon Slayer."

"What," I asked.

"Motion sickness," he replied.

(Wayra's POV)
"Oh!" I said laughing. "I know that feeling quite well, I used to get car sick all the time! It's not a nice feeling, i'm relieved that I don't anymore!"

I suddenly realize something. "That rival of yours, Daniel why would he try to kill you? It's one thing being rivals, but for him trying to kill you makes it seem more like you are complete enemies!" I shudder. I don't have a rival or enemy, I like to keep it that way! It seems like a waste of time to fight all the time, I am more of a pacifist. Of course I have to fight a little if someone is trying to kill me... Or do I? I'll have to pay better attention next time I dreamed about River and Jaxon.

"You know how in every world, you have a doppelgänger? Ty is mine. When he first found out, he thought that I was an imposter of some sort, so he challenged me to a duel. I didn't know any magic from this world, so I used whatever I could and I won the match. After I explained everything to him, he still didn't like the fact that someone who looked and sounded like him was in the same place as him. He wanted me to go home, but I didn't know how. Now that I think about it, even for him it's hard to think he'd kill me. Ty maybe a brute but he's not the kind of person who'd kill."

"He is your doppelgänger? Well not every world has a doppelgänger! (May be, not maybe. Maybe is like maybe I can help!) And if he is your doppelgänger, why are you rivals?"
