Chapter 45, A Dangerous Revelation

(Wayra's POV)
    We meet up with the others. Gajeel's munching on some iron, Natsu's smiling, and Lav comes up and hugs Daniel.

"I'm glad to see the two of you are okay," she said, "I thought that Cresent Hollow would beat you for a second."

"Come on Lav," Daniel says, "You know me better than that! Kairo did throw me off. He used the Pitch Black Sanction spell to slow me down. I thought I would black out from it."

"No kidding," Natsu said, "Why didn't you have me at the geyesers? I could have taken him easy."

"Maybe," Daniel replied, "But I knew that Kairo would be wherever I was placed. If I was at the mountains, he could have had the advantage. If I placed Natsu at the mountains, he would place someone else to race him."

"You placed Natsu first," I said, "So Cresent Hollow wouldn't have an advantage over us? I don't understand."

"We don't know much about Cresent Hollow," Lavander explained, "All Jason knew was Kairo was the fastest, and he would follow him. Placing himself last may still have given Kairo an advantage, but it also gave Jason an advantage thanks to the flames."

That's right! Since he was a Hellfire Dragonslayer, he could eat the flames and replenish his magic!

"Let's get a quick snack," Daniel says, "None of us know when we are going into our matches. We should be ready no matter what."

    I laugh.

"Good thinking! I think I wanna eat an apple..."

I walk over to some soil and place my hand on the ground. I then stand back up and raise my hand slowly but gracefully as a tree starts growing, soon it is full sise and there are bright red apples hanging from it. It is too high up to reach so I go to the base and climb up to get some. I pick one and bite into it.

"Mhhm delicious!" I mumble. "I guess I was hungry!"

I notice the looks on their faces.

"Another power?" Daniel asks.

I nod hanging upside down from a firm branch.

"Yep, sometimes I just make new tricks up like that blond guy with a pink feathered hat. What was his name again?" I finish eating my apple. "Do any of you want one? Theres plenty more. Oh- and Lavender? Your a water dragon slayer right? Do you eat water? I can make fire, water, earth metal, lightning, and more, so if your hungry, just tell me and i'll feed you!" I say grinning.

I drop to the ground and fire appears over my open palm. I water bend water in front of me and bang my fist to the earth to make some rise in front of me, I touch it with my fingers and it purifies to metal.

"Hungry? I have magic food and belly food. If you don't like apples I can make other fruits too."

I look at them, waiting for an answer.

    "We'll just stick with the apples," Daniel said. Each of them went to the base of the tree to grab an apple. Natsu grabs three of four of them and eats them whole.

"Jeez Natsu," Lavander said, "You should slow down, you might end up in the first match."

"We have time," he replied, "These are pretty good!"

We all enjoy a few minutes of eating apples and talking before we hear Chapati's voice again.

"Ladies and gentleman," he said, "We are about ready for the afternoon matches. Each winner of each match will be awarded 10 points while the loser gains none! In the case of a draw, each wizard will be awarded 5 points. The first match is Warcry of Quatro Cerberus, versus Toru of Crescent Hollow! Will each contestant make there way to the arena!"

    I follow Daniel and the others others as they make their way to a place to watch the match. I wonder what it would be like? I guess I would find out soon.
