Chapter 53, Up Against The Dragon Twins

I stare open mouthed.

"Jessica L?!" I hiss extremely surprised.

Now that I think about it, she really does look like Jessica L!

"How the HECK did I NOT notice?!?!" I shriek in a sort of hissing way, so as to no not raise suspicion.

When I recover from the shock, I head down to breakfast, and have some rice, mashed potatoes, guacamole, and some water. I stare at Daniel.

"Wow." I say.

"What?" Asks Natsu.

"Oh, nothing! I'm just thinking of an amazing move I could learn." I lie naturally, as if it were true.

Daniel catches me staring. When he does, I raise my eyebrows as if to say:

"How did I not notice that Lavender and Jessica are identical?!"

"So," he said, "Everyone ready for today?"

Everyone nodded, I did as well. We head down to the arena. Daniel said that Lavander and him needed to grab a few things for the wedding. Erza, Grey, Natsu, Gajeel and I were the newly formed Fairy Tail team. The announcer started talking, but I didn't really pay any attention. I was busy thinking about what happened last night. River and Jaxon said that I would meet more doppelgängers, but doppelgängers of who? Mine was Wendy, Lavander was Jessica's. Who was Daniel's doppelgänger, Jallal? They did seem similar, but not enough to be doppelgängers.

"Hey," Natsu said, "You okay, you've been spacing out for a while."

"Huh," I said, "Oh, I'm fine. I was just thinking about something. Did Erza go in already?"

"Yeah," said Grey, "The challenge today is a treasure hunt, each person has thirty minutes to find a medallion. If Erza comes up to another competitor, she can knock them out and gain an extra minute. She gets knocked out, she loses a minute."

Wow, they really are making it harder for her. I watch for a while, then see Daniel arrive. I pull him to the side to talk.

"How come I never noticed," I asked him, "That they were doppelgängers?"

"Different hair color for one," he replied, "Different eye color for another. The only way I knew it was from her voice. That and another thing."

"What other thing," I asked.

"Lavander's middle name," he said.

"What about it," I asked.

"It's Jessica," he replied, "Lavander's middle name is Jessica. I better get going, Lav is expecting me for brunch."

He then walked to the cafeteria. I then heard the announcer again.

"Ladies and gentlemen," he said, "The afternoon matches will begin in one hour. The first match is Cristlina Starr and Grey Fullbuster of Fairy Tail versus Sting and Rouge of Sabertooth!"

Wow, me and Grey against Sting and Rouge of Fairy Tail? They are super powerful! Natsu beat them good at a past Grand Magic Game.

I get to my place with Grey and watch as Sting and Rouge do the same. Like Natsu, they were both Dragon Slayers. I had met them in one of my visions of full episodes of Fairy Tail, this was my first time meeting them face-to-face though.
Sting was smiling, as if he knew he was going to win! Rouge was quieter, but he was pretty happy too. I just laugh, but Grey gets excited and strips off his shirt.

"Let's do this!" He says.

"Better be careful!" Sting says to me.

"Oh, I will, don't worry!" I say smiling.
