Daniel Murchison
(Wayra's POV)
I look over to Natsu and Gajeel and watch them eat like there's no tomorrow, Lavender actually was eating like a normal person, and Daniel was barely eating at all.

"Hey," Natsu said, mouth full of food. "You gong to finmf that's?" (You going to finish that?)

Gajeel slaps him over the head.

"Hey!" Natsu exclaimed.

"Would you pipe down Salamander?" Gajeel replied, "Something obviously wrong. Jason, What's up?"

"Huh?" Daniel said, looking up. "Oh, nothing."

"Come on don't give me that," Gajeel said, "You've been barely eating, you always seem to wake up screaming, something's wrong. Even Salamander knows it."

"Excuse me," Daniel said.

He got up from his chair and walked away.

"The hell," Gajeel said, "Did someone die or something?"

"I'll talk to him," I said.

I then get up and go find Daniel.

I find him in a separate room sitting on a couch. I go over and sit next to him.

"Hey." I say.

He doesn't look up. He seems to be lost in thought.

"Are you ok? What's wrong?" I ask.

Still, he doesn't look up. I put my hand on his shoulder and he jumps, as if he hadn't seen me come in.

"Oh, h-hi." He says.

"Daniel, are you ok? How are you, whats wrong?"

He sighs.

"I just..." He trails off.

I look at him.

He was older than me, maybe he felt responsible for what might happen in the future when we faced off with our enemies?

Daniel sighs.

"How are you so calm with everything happening? I mean... We turn dark!" Daniel says.

"As I recall, River and Jaxon never said their wasn't any hope." I say. "Besides, I don't tend to loose hope much. I'm kind of stubborn like Naruto and Natsu in that sense. Actually... I don't remember the last time I actually did loose hope! Not that hope will help us... It's completely useless if you don't actually do something!"

"I know," Daniel said, "It's just... I'm tired, Wayra. Tired of traveling, tired of facing the same situation over and over. I just want a life were I can have a house in the countryside, have a family. I've been traveling for years, I've seen things that I would only imagine back home. Also, after the battle with Atlas Durza I've been having dreams. Not in the kind that Sarah and Collin show up, actual dreams. Well, more like nightmares. It's always the same one, me having no choice but to let him use me as a host. Every time I refuse, something might happen, he might hurt me, he might hurt Lavander. But in the end, he always won. And every time he does, I always wake up screaming."

I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, that won't happen." I say.

"How do you know?" He asks.

"Because I'm going to make sure that it doesn't." I assure him. "I already promised to myself that I wouldn't let that happen. And now, I'm promising you to."

Daniel smiles weakly.

"Thanks." He says.

I nod. "Of course." I say.

We get up to start going back, when I stop him.

"Oh, and Daniel?" I say.

"What?" He asks.

My face turns serious.

"I'm not bluffing." I say. "We are both going to have to go back soon, but my promise still stands." Then I turn back around and start walking back.

Daniel Murchison
(Daniel's POV)

I stay on the couch for a few minutes, then head to the others.

"You okay?" Lavender asked.

"Yeah," I replied, "Just had a few things to think about."

"Tomorrow is the first day of the Games," Gajeel said, "What should we do today?"

"Well," I said, "I head that the last of the guilds competing will be at the downtown plaza. Blue Pegasus and Lamia Scale are just a couple of them. We could go and say hi."

"Sounds good," Wayra said. "Let's go."

I was just about to head out the door when I saw a guy with a black cloak pass the hotel. He had dark red hair and bright violet eyes. There was an emblem on his cloak too, a crescent moon with a tree in front of it. The emblem for the Crescent Hollow guild, I turn towards one of the hotel workers.

"Excuse me," I said, "But who was the guy that past by the hotel?"

"That," she replied, "Was Kairo Arcwood. Rumor has it that he uses the Ark of Embodiment magic, others say he uses some type of shadow magic, there's even some that say he's a Godslayer."

"That so?" I said. I felt my heart beat a little faster, so that was Arcwood? He seemed like a powerful wizard, I could still feel his magic power right now.

"Alright," I said, "Let's go."

We head out of the hotel and walk to the plaza in downtown Crocus. We eventually meet up with the Blue Pegasus guild.

"Jason," said Hibiki, "It's good to see you."

He then looks at Lavander, "Lav? Is that really you?"

"Hey Hibi," she said, "Been a long time."

"How-," Hibiki started to say before I put my hand over he's mouth.

"Long story," I replied, "How about lunch?"

In a couple of minutes, we were having lunch with Hibiki, Ren, Eve, and Ichiya. I explained how Lavandar was here and introduced them to Wayra.

"It is good to see you again," Ichiya said, "Your parfoom of friendship is too strong for words!"

Wayra looks at confused, I give her a look that translates to, "Ignore him, he's like that."

"So," Eve said, "You five are in the Games?"

"Yeah," Natsu said, eating a giant piece of meat.

"I'm glad to see you guys here," I said, "I hope you can get higher placed than last few years."

All of a sudden, we hear chatter outside. We look to see five people in the plaza, one of them was Kairo Arcwood. Another was someone I'd thought I'd never see again, Aryaw.

~Hmm, I wonder what will happen now with Aryaw... Any guesses? Don't forget to
