Chapter 21, Mavis

(Daniel's POV)
We continued flying towards Tenro Island for a couple of hours until it finally came into view. The Tenro Tree was as tall as two giants or so. We landed at the edge of the island and I transformed back to normal.

"Come on," I said, "We should find Leinad first."

"Whose Leinad," Albedo asked.

"Long story," Wayra replied.

We started walking for a while until we came to a grove. At the grove was Leinad practicing magic. Standing to the side was none other than Draco and Jallal.

(Wayra's POV)
We run up to them and say hi.

"Hey! How is your magic practice going?" I ask.

"It's going ok." Leinad answers.

"So how do we talk to you know who?" I whisper to Daniel.

I was excited to find out if I was really a Dream Traveler. I could be! All of the signs pointed to yes. If I was I needed to learn how to harness the power and use it. If I did, I could recharge Albedo's time turner and bring him home so he can use the device and go back to his time!

(Daniel's POV)
I nod my head, we start head deeper into the island. Jallal, Draco, and Leinad came along with us. Albedo came too, but he was confused at what was going on.

"Where are we going," Leinad asked.

"Tenro Island isn't just the sacred ground of the Fairy Tail guild, it's also the home and final resting place of the first master, Mavis Vermillion."

"So, she's buried here," Albedo asked.

I nodded, we turned around the bend when we saw a girl with bare feet sitting on a tree branch. It was Mavis.

"Well," she said, "It's been a while Jason. I see you have some friends."

"Cristlina," I said, "Meet Mavis Vermilion, first master of Fairy Tail, also known as the Fairy Tactician due to her amazing knowledge in almost everything."

"Pleasure to meet you," she replied.

"Mavis, this is Cristlina," I said, "She's an old friend of mine. There's a good possibility that she and I are dream travelers."

"An interesting yet valid idea," Mavis said, "I know a little bit about dream travelers, one thing is for sure; they come from across the multiverse. They have a world that is a sanctuary for those like them. Where it is, no one knows, but the power of a dream traveler can not only transport them anywhere the've seen, but they can bend reality to their very will."

"Who are you guys talking to," Albedo asked.

"Jallal," I said, "Take everyone back to the grove, I be there in a sec."

"Something bad," Leinad asked.

"If Jason is asking us to leave," Jallal replied, "Then yes."

They headed back then I turned back to Mavis.

"Can you teach Cristlina how to control it," I asked.

"Most of that knowledge was forbidden magic," she replied, "But I can try."

I turn to Wayra, "Listen to Mavis, she may be a spirit but she's the smartest there is. I need to talk to the others, Jallal might have a lead on Leinad's magic. If anything happens, run back to the grove. And remember, anything from the Dragonball world does not work here, trust me I have tried. Don't get too suprised if your Naruto techniques don't either."

I head back to the grove, leaving Wayra with Mavis.

(Wayra's POV)
"So..." I say as I turn back to Mavis. "Your Mavis? Nice to meet you! Like Jason just said, you can call me Cristalina."

I look into her eyes. They seem kind. She was beautiful.

"Hello Cristalina, so your a Dream Traveler huh?" Mavis says.

"Yes. Funny thing is, I'm actually writing a story about it in my world." I explain to her all about Wayra's Amazing Dream Travel Adventures.

"I never imagined that I could actually be one! And Jason to, I guess. Do you know anything else about it I could learn?"

She nods. "But thats not all you want to know is it?"

"Well... I'm also elemental, so I can control air as well as the other elements, and, I have been wondering how to unlock the flight ability. I have the power, all I need is the knowledge."

"Indeed." She says. "Let's see if I can be of help.

(Daniel's POV)
I reached the grove and saw Leinad and Jallal waiting for me.

"So," I said, "What did you find out?"

"The power I had from Salem didn't get fully removed," Leinad replied, "After you banished me, most of the power changed. The Celestial magic.... somehow purified it, but not all of it."

"Making some sort of Dark Angel magic," Jallal continued, "He's been able to control it very well, but there's another thing. I did some listening around, rumor has it that there was a spirit that was banished from the stars and sent to the underworld. This spirit's power became tainted, creating a magic that even Zerrif would fear."

"The point being," I asked.

"The spirit's name was Atlas Durza," Leinad replied, "It translates to Dark Angel But Atlas was a translation for another word: Star."

"Darkstar," I said, "So Salem didn't create Darkstar."

"She summoned him from the underworld," Leinad replied, "Using me as a host."

"Can you use his magic," I asked.

"Check this out," he said.

He took a step back and shouted, "DARK ANGEL: SHADOW BLAST!"

He released a blast that destroyed a large rock.

"What just happened," I said, "That was way more powerful than Darkstar, even his weakest attack is not as powerful."

"His power may be strong," Jallal said, "But there's something else we want to talk about."

"I'm not joining Fairy Tail," Leinad said.

"Why not," I asked.

"Even if it wasn't me," he replied, "I was the host. I was controlled as if I was a puppet. I can never forgive myself, at least not now."

"Where are you going with this," I asked.

"I'm joining Crime Sorciere," he replied.

I think about it for a minute, Leinad was right. I knew what it was like to be used against my will. Salem once forced me to destroy the Atlas Academy grounds when I was in the RWBY world. She held my friends as hostages. I was unable to stop her, but I had a few friends that helped. I look back at Leinad and Jallal.

"Alright," I said.

"Your not going to protest," he asked.

"No," I replied, "We may be doppelgängers, but that doesn't mean we have to stay with each other. You are right, Crime Sorciere is the best guild for you right now. Fairy Tail can wait."

Leinad smiled at me, then hugged me.

"Thank you," he said, "Thank you for understanding."

"Anytime," I said, "Now come with me."

"Where are we going," he asked.

"Once Cristlina unleashes her power, I want you to spar her," I said, "The both of you have powers that have new limits, we need to know what those limits are before something bad happens again."
