Chapter 59, Goodbye

Daniel Murchison
(Natsu's POV)
I head over to Jason and pull him aside.

"Hey," I asked, "Is Cristlina leaving?"

"Yeah," he replied, "Sometime tomorrow, though the two of us have to send Boulevard, Rosie, and the Sins back first."

"You going with her?" I asked.

"Not yet," he said, "Lav and I have a child to look after. I can't be in two places at once."

"This doesn't seem right," I said, "Her leaving like this."

"I'll tell you what," Jason said, "After we send everyone back, I'll have her come by the guild hall for a proper farewell. Sounds good?"

"Sounds good," I replied, "I'll pass the word around."

I climb into bed and close my eyes.

"I guess I go home tomorrow." I say to myself. "Finally."
I shift in my bed and sigh.
"What an adventure! I wonder what will happen when I wake up?" I start getting drowsy. I smile. "The one time River and Jaxon call me at the right time." I say, chucking as everything fades.

I open my eyes and find myself at the Mattel Community Center again, River and Jaxon standing in front of me.

"Your going home?" River asks.

I nod.

"How do you feel about it?" Jaxon asks.

"Happy. I can't help but wonder what will happen though. I guess I'll find out!" I say smiling.

"Yes, but you won't remember anything." Jaxon says.

"Huh? What do you mean?" I ask.

"Nothing, everything will be alright. Well make sure of it!" River tells me.

I nod.

"Ok, I trust you."

"Good luck!!" River and Jaxon say simultaneously.

"Thank you." I say.

Everything swirls away again, but instead of waking up, I swirl into darkness and fall into deep sleep. I am exhausted. I have been through a lot.

The next morning, I wake up with a yawn and get dressed. Then I head downstairs to have breakfast.

"Hey," I heard Daniel say, "How'd you sleep?"

"Pretty good," I said, "What's for breakfast?"

"Not too sure," he replied, "Ban just decided to cook for us. Whatever it is, I bet it tastes good."

After a few minutes, we all sit down and eat. Ban made such good food, even Daniel was stuffing his face! After eating six bowls, he turns to me.

"How bout' we visit the guild?" he said, "One last time before you head out."

"Sounds good," I said.

We traveled back to the guild hall, which didn't take long since Daniel transported us there. As we open the door, everyone jumps out yelling "Suprise!" A banner hung over saying "Farewell Cristlina."

"We couldn't just let you go without saying a proper goodbye," Natsu said, grinning.

"After all," Wendy said, "You're a part of the guild, which makes you family."

At first I was started, I was hoping to leave without causing a scene. I guess it was bound to happen. I spent a while saying goodbye properly to everyone, then Daniel put his hand on my shoulder.

"It's time," he said, "I've already sent the Sins, Boulevard, and Rosie back. Now it's your turn."

I nodded my head. I walk out to the front of the guild, then turn back to Daniel.

"You'll find me when I need to come back, right?"

"Of course," he said, "It may be a long time for me before I do though. Maybe you'll meet my kid!"

I laugh, "Yeah, maybe."

"Besides," he continued, "There's something that Cinder said that's still rattling around my brain, about Haven Light. What do you think she meant?"

"I have no idea... But either you'll find me, or I'll come on my own when it's time." I say. "Besides, I still haven't met the two doppelgängers River and Jaxon had told me I would meet."

I turn to everyone else.

"It was nice being in my favorite guild!"

It had been more fun than watching the anime! I freeze.

"Wh-at?" I suddenly realize something. "They were memories? The flash backs of Fairy Tail? How-?" I shake my head.

Right now, I will concentrate on going home. I hug everyone goodbye.

"Bye everyone!" I say waving.

Everyone smiles and waves goodbye.

"Bye Daniel. See you." I say giving him a hug.

I take one last glance at everyone and smile. Then I close my eyes and raise my hand.

"Daniel?" I say.

"Yea?" Daniel says.

"You concentrate your Dream Traveler Powers on the place, I'll get the time right." I tell him.

He nods. We both reach our hands out with our eyes closed. When the portal forms, I open my eyes, and without looking back, walk forward into the portal as everything goes black, and I spin into darkness.
