Chapter 38, The Seed

"Sounds good." I said.

We walk to the food as Happy joins Natsu.

"Are there vegetarian options? I don't eat any type of meat." I explain.

"Not even fish?! Happy asks taken aback. "But it's so delicious!" *

"Nope. To tell the truth, and no offense, I have never tried meat and intend to keep it that way, the smells of meet are also quite UN-pleasant for me. Besides, I hate the idea of munching on one of my friends. Though both sides of my family eat meat, especially my Chilean side 🇨🇱! So I'm used to being around meat, and don't mind it too much." I explain.

"What's Chilean?" Natsu asks.

I look at Daniel, unsure if it's information I'm aloud to share. Does anyone else beside Lavender know our secret? The look on my face seems to ask him the whole question because he says:

"Never mind, there should be vegetarian options."

"Good," I say.

"Can I talk to you for a sec?" He asks. "We can catch up with the others later."

I nod my head, Natsu starts to say something, but then Daniel gives him a glare and he heads off.

"What's up?" I ask.

"I'm not sure," he says, "When you sleep, do you ever have anyone else there with you that can see you?"

"A couple times yeah," I say. "Why?"

"I've been getting these dreams," he explains, "And there's always a couple people who are there, and they can see me."

"That's never happened to you?" I ask.

"No," he replied, "I usually get visions, but this has me on edge."

"Hey guys," Natsu yells, "Hurry up!"

"We can talk later right," Daniel asks, "Maybe on the way to Crocus?"

"Sure," I tell him. Then we head to the guild hall to get a bite to eat.

(Daniel's POV)

After dinner, I head to downtown Magnolia to my apartment. I take a shower, then head to bed. Once I close my eyes, I am back at the guild hall. The only problem is that it's empty, except for two teens. A boy and a girl. They look the same age, and similar to each other.

"Who are you guys?" I ask.

"You don't recognize us?" says the girl.

"I've never met you before." I reply.

"Well," says the boy, "My name's Collin. This is my sister, Sarah."

I search through my memory, Sarah and Collin...Sarah and Collin. Then it hit me, I did know them!

"So now he figures it out," Sarah says, "About time!"

"What do you guys want," I ask.

"We're here to warn you," Collin said, "You're time at Fairy Tail is limited, possibly more limited than you want."

"What does that mean?" I ask.

"It means," Sarah replies, "That you might be going home sooner than you think. You and Wayra are connected. If one leaves, the other follows."

"What," I say, "But why? I just got my fiance back!"

"You've been traveling for too long," Collin replies, "It might be time for you to go home anyway."
