Chapter 42, I... SLAPPED Him?

(Wayra's POV)
     I look over and my jaw drops.

"Is that?-" I begin.

"Yeah." Daniel nods.

My heart pounds a little.

"Guess it's happening sooner than we think, Daniel." I say to him without turning my head.

I have to try to relax. I have beaten Aryaw before, I can do it again! Right? But what if I don't, and it really doesn't end pretty? Is that and Daniel's rival what turns him dark? I shiver. I let out a squeak when Aryaw turns her head and sees us. I quickly turn my head away and pretend I wasn't staring. But would that work?

"What was that sound?" Asks Daniel.

"A squeak." I answer.

"Aww are you scared of something? I can comfort you!" Hibiki answers.

I lean into Daniels ear.

"I think she saw us!"

"Yeah," he says, "Sorry guys, we'll be right back."

Daniel gets up from his chair, I follow him. Together we head out to the plaza to meet Aryaw and her group.

"What's going on?" He asks.

"Jason," Aryaw says. "It's been a while. I see your still traveling with her, doesn't see ever bore you?"

"That's enough Lily." Kairo says. "So your Jason, The King of the Fairies?"

"What's it to you?" Daniel replies.

Kairo smiles, then bows to us, "I am Kairo Arcwood, member of the Crescent Hollow guild. Known as the Shadow Crusader, perhaps the name rings a bell?"

Daniel turns to me, I shrug my shoulders.

"What a pity," Kairo replies. "However, we come here to observe, not to fight."

"Be careful though," said a girl. "One wrong move could end your lives. Such a shame to waste a pretty boy like you."

She smiles at Daniel, is she flirting with him?

"Enough Daisy," says Kairo. "Forgive my comrade, for she is...A bit of a wild card. Besides, you are engaged are you not...Dragonslayer?"

"I am," Daniel replies. "And what of it?"

"Nothing," Kairo replies. "It would just be a shame if something happened to her, or your friend here."

Daniel's fist bursts into flames, Kairo replies with flames of his own. But there's something different about them, they're pitch black! Natsu comes running up to us, his eyes wide.

"No way," he said. "That's not possible!!"

"Think again," Kairo replied, "For the powers of the Dark Regulas are mine to control."

Daniel roars at the top of his voice and punches Kairo. Then the two break out into a fight. They fight for about fifteen minutes before a man in armor appears.

"That's enough," says the man, "Who started this quarrel?"

"He did," Daniel says, pointing to Kairo.

"Not entirely true," Kairo replies. "He attacked first."

The man turns to Daniel, "Is this true?"

Daniel growls, then nods his head.

"You and your team with me," the man says. "All other teams, go back to your hotels, NOW!"

Everyone scrambles at the sound of his voice. Daniel gives us a gesture to follow him. We are led back to our hotel before the man talks.
