Chapter 40, A Glimpse of the Future

Daniel Murchison

(Wayra's POV)

     "Wow," she replied, "I knew a little bit about Sarah and Collin. You think there's a way to get rid of this seed thing?"

"Not sure," I said, "They said it was impossible to remove. I don't even know if my idea will work."

"It might," she said, "But what if speeding it up causes him to snap? He could burn Crocus to ash without breaking a sweat! I know, I've seem him use his magic, and it has made him stronger than before."

I think about it for a sec, she could be right. If we accidentally turn him, then we would have caused the destruction of an entire country!

"I've got to go," she said, "He might get worried."

"Alright," I said, "Night."

(Daniel's POV)

     I wake up to the sound of Lavender closing the door.

"Hey," I said.

"Hey," she replied, "Sorry to wake you up."

"Don't be," I said, "What did Wayra want?"

"Oh, nothing." She replied. She was lying.

"Lav," I said, "What's wrong?"

"She told me," Lavender replied, "About the twins, the seed, everything."

At first I was shocked, I told Wayra not to tell anyone! After a few seconds, I let out a deep breath.

"Okay," I said.

"Your not mad?" she asked.

"No," I replied, "I thought you would be the mad one."

"Not mad," she said, "Just worried. Why didn't you say anything? When is this suppose to happen?"

"Sarah and Collin didn't say when," I replied, "And I didn't say anything because I didn't want to scare you. Let's just focus on the now, not the later. Okay?"

She nods her head, then we head to bed

(Wayra's POV)

     I lay in bead thinking. What is gonna happen to Daniel and Lavender's relationship? Their marriage? Daniel can't stay forever! He can't no matter how hard he tries! I am confident that I can fight the darkness, but if I can't?! I am not exaggerating when I say that together we could destroy the entire world! I shudder as a cold creeping shiver sneaks up and down my spine.

"I won't let that happen." I promise myself. "Even if I have to keep growing that seed until it dies." I then close my eyes and fall asleep.

(Daniel's POV)

     As I began to dream, I saw the twins once again appear.

"What do you want now?" I asked.

"Jeez, ever hear of saying hello?" Sarah replied.

"We just came to talk," Collin replied, "We never did finish our last conversation."

"And I don't plan to," I replied. "Not unless you found a way to stop me from turning Fiore into ash."

"What the hell do you think we're doing?" Sarah asked, "We've been trying to get more information, but seeing too far into the future is prohibited."

"What we do know?" Collin said, "Is it starts with a match between you and a wizard known as Kairo Arkwood from a guild known as Crescent Hollow."
