Emma's situation became worse and worse. Not even the sessions with Regina helped anymore.
The girl still couldn't sleep and did not leave the house at all anymore.
In addition, Emma got a permanent headache. The lack of sleep reflected itself on her face too. The dark circles under the blondes eyes looked anything but healthy.
David and Mary Margaret noticed that Emma wasn't eating. They were very worried and after Emma had already lost 7 pounds they called Regina.
A few minutes later the doorbell rang and the brunette entered. Emma, who was sitting on the couch as usual, looked at her in surprise.
The blonde just wanted to ask why Regina was here, but David interrupted her: "Hello Regina, thanks for coming so fast".
Regina smiled warmly at the man and greeted him as well.
"Emma, could you just go to your room, please? I have to talk to Regina alone, "he said to Emma.
The girl got up and did as she was told. For an hour she just sat on the floor and staring into nothing. She could not hear the conversation from below, and she had nothing else to do.
When there was a knock on her door, she looked up and waited for the door to open. Regina entered. She had two bowls of fruit salad in hand and was struggling to close the door again. Immediately, the girl jumped up and helped the woman.
"Here, this is for you," Regina said, holding out one of the bowls to the girl.
"Thanks, but I'm not hungry," Emma answered.
Regina looked at the girl for a moment. Then she pointed to the bed and asked, "May I sit down?"
The blonde nodded immediately and let the woman pass by. The brunette placed a bowl next to her and began to eat from the other.
"You know you have to eat something, don't you Emma?" The psychologist asked after a while.
Emma shyly looked down to the floor and nodded. "I'm just not hungry," she whispered.
"I know how you feel, kid. But eating nothing is not an option. The longer you refuse, the harder it will be to eat again. I know you'll probably hate me for that, but I will not go out of your room until you've at least tried the fruit salad, "Regina said, then continued with a wink:" After all, I did it myself and want to know your opinion on it".
Emma could not hold back a giggle, because as Regina sat on her bed, a piece of apple in her mouth and struggling to do a neat wink was just too adorable.
Before she knew it, the girl was sitting on the bed next to Regina, laughing louder than ever. As Emma gently ran her hand over the covers, she realized that all her fear had disappeared. The unwell feeling she had when she looked at the bed just a few hours ago was blown away.
Wondering, she asked herself how the woman next to her could have such a big, positive influence on herself. Just the brunettes presence made Emma forget her worries.
Lost in thoughts, she put a spoonful of fruit salad in her mouth and smiled at Regina.
"How about we play 'Would you rather'?", Emma then asked still chewing on her fruits.
Confused, Regina tilted her head and asked: "Would you rather what? What are you talking about?"
An even bigger smile formed on the blonde's lips as she stifled a laugh and replied, "'Would you rather' is a game. For example, I ask you if you would rather go parachuting or bungee jumping and you answer the question. After that you can ask me a question "
