Chapter 23: dinner p1 secrets?

4 days later; dinner with the White Shadow pack:
I get ready for at least 2 hours wanting to look my best for my fist meeting as Beta, I've come to this meeting so many times with my father as I was the Alphas daughter. It will be sad being here without my father beside me but I have Logan and I'm now a beta, I'm respected unlike when I was Alphas daughter soon to be Alpha, people use to laugh and say girls are too weak to be Alpha but now I'm proving them wrong... well half wrong, I'm Beta not Alpha.

I wore this dress ^^ with a diamond necklace Toby got me when he proposed. I also wear other jewellery then walk up to Logan's rooms and knock on the door.
"Come in" I hear him say, I walk in and his just had a tv installed as he knocked down the wall in between him and Aidan's room so his rooms bigger as Aidan passed. He is laying back in his bed eating chips playing video games with his new suit on "get up!" I yell at him, "I'm winning" he answers I roll my eyes "get. Up. Now." I say as he keeps his focus on the tv and the controller "seriously Logan for a grown man you act like a complete child!" I yell as I grab the remote and turn the tv off. "LUNA!" He yells as he throws a chip at me "Logan!" I yell back, he looks up at me and freezes "no... you look better then me that's just... no" he says I giggle "yeah cause you've been eating chips with your new suit on" I say crossing my arms he rolls his eyes "okay mum" he says standing up dusting the chips of him "you look beautiful" he says smiling at me, I blush "thank you" I say watching him quickly tidy his room "where did you get your necklace, looks expensive?" Logan asks I look down to the ground "can we go?" I ask impatiently he looks at me confused "uhm sure?" He says grabbing his phone and his laptop.

I get into Logan's car, the drive is silent and awkward, I just stare out the window thinking about my father and Toby, I really shouldn't have been thinking about my father because then I started to think about my last words to him, I feel a tear run down my cheek I look down at my wrist, I wear the gold chair that my father left me as a bracelet, I haven't taken it off yet.
Logan must have noticed the tears falling from my eyes because he put his hand on my thigh "what's wrong?" He asks rubbing my thigh, I close my eyes "nothing" I say abrupt. He sighs "I miss him too" he says I look over at him "who?" I ask he gives me a small smile "Toby and your father" he says then looking away, how does he know I was thinking about Toby? I look over at him "you were very lucky to have been with Toby, his a great guy and an even better brother" he says I look at the ground "I just feel guilty that I've been getting close to you and your my dead fiancés brother" I say looking out the window, he turns my head so that I'm looking at him "but in a way I feel like he would be happy I'm getting close with his brother because he knows he can trust you" I say another tear falling, Logan kisses my hand "the tattoo on your back that says 'wish you were here' did you get that for Toby?" He asks, I shake my head "he did it himself it was for my mother" I say Logan nods. I lift my wrist showing him Toby's initials with the angel wings and the halo with the infinity sigh he smiles "it's beautiful" he says I smile "why didn't Toby ever mention having sibilings? I thought we had a open relationship" I say looking out the window again "everyone had there secrets, some worst then others, once Toby was older enough to move out he did and he left his family and memories behind, he wanted a new life without us so he joined another pack" Logan says, one question comes Ronny head one I've always asked but never got the answer "why?" I ask he looks at me confused "why did he leave his family and want a new life without them, I know myself family is worth everything and wouldn't just leave" I say Logan looks away "some things are more complicated" he says, I can tell his hidding something. Just like Toby his avoiding this subject. Why?
Logan stays silent for the rest of the drive leaving me way beyond confused.

We get to the restaurant and I clean up my makeup as the tears kinda fvcked it.

We walk into the restaurant to see 3 of our best pack members sitting talking and then 5 other people I don't recognise.

Logan's pulls the seat out for me and I sit. "hello" Logan says they all say their hellos "Hello, I'm Alpha Roxy" a girl with black says as she stares at me "I'm Alpha Logan" Logan says as the girl looks at me confused. I stare back at her trying to figure out why she's looking at me like this "I'm Beta Carl" a muscular tattoos dude says I nod "I'm Beta Luna" I say she girl bites her lip. "Luna could I talk to you in private?" She asks as I wearily nod. She stands up and walks to the bathroom I follow her.

"Do you not remember me?" She asks as she fixes her hair "umm who are you?" I ask she laughs, and turns to me "It's Roxy, best friends during these meeting because our fathers were Alphas" she says I think for a second "ooooooh now I remember you" I say she laughs "why are you not Alpha? Who's that Logan, it's supposed to be you an me as alpha" she asks I look away "my father thought I wasn't ready because I'm part of a prophecy and have heaps going on" I say she gasps, "seriously your part of a prophecy?!" She asks amazed I sigh "apparently me and my cousin are gonna end the war between wolfs and vampires" I say she once again gasps "you must be powerful then!" She say I nod.

We chat for a bit catching up. "so your saying your getting close with the Alpha, that Logan dude? That means you would be Alpha female" she says excited I nod "I didn't even think about Alpha female" I say excited. She smiles and nods.

We walk back to the packs and sit down "what took so long?" Logan asks impatiently I giggle "girl talk" I say as she gives me a big smile "do you know each other?" He asks looking at her confused, I nod "old friends" I say as the waiter walks over to us.
"What can I get for y'all?" The waiter asks pulling out a notepad "me and Luna will get a Porterhouse steak with a salad and chips. Also a wine and a jack & scotch" Logan says, I blush how does he know what I'd order. After everyone orders a food and drinks the waiter walks to the kitchen.

"Spot on... only I usually wouldn't drink at these advents" I whisper to him he puts his hand on my thigh "oh well, we will have a fun time alcohol included" he says I giggle.

"Now while we wait for our food, I'd like to give you an ultimatum" Logan says I myself gasp under my breath, everyone looks around confused and scared. (An ultimatum for a wolf, it means a command/term where you get 2 choices, if you choose to reject it, it will cause you to loose the relation between the two packs and will turn you enemies). Roxy gulps then answers "what's your proposal?" She asks hiding her fear I sigh and look at Logan annoyed 'seriously an ultimatum?!' I mind link him he looks at me "yes we need it" he says everyone looks at me "your an idiot" I say turning around facing the other way "no I'm being smart for our pack" he says I just ignore him 'Luna don't ignore me' he mindlinks me, I roll my eyes. "Ahem" says as everyone looks at her "what's the fucking ultimatum I'm loosing my patience here!" She says whisper yelling very impatiently, I giggle she smiles at me then stares at Logan annoyed "get to the point" she says Logan nods "I would like some of your pack to become our spy's and 'work' for the vampires finding their secrets helping us win the upcoming war" Logan says everyone freezes "w-what..?" Roxy stutters as her pack all stare at her pleading looks, their eyes yelling not to accept, the ultimatum.

I stare at Logan shocked "how could you?" I whisper he looks down at me "It's what's best for us" he whispers "but what about them" I whisper as I look back at Roxy getting overwhelmed, "I-I...." she starts.....
