RIN’s POV
I open my eyes to the blinding sunlight of New York escaping through my window to me. I sit up on bed remembering such a wonderful night from yesterday. I was invited in the SPRING COLLECTION 2014 fashion show which is one of the most prestigious shows out of four shows, as the last to walk on the ramp. I was able to wear the most beautiful piece from all 4 collections last night and I was happy that I was able to impress the crowd.
I moved on from my thoughts and looked at the clock.
“Oh my! I overslept! It’s already this late?!!” The clock says 7:20 AM, leaving me 40 minutes to prepare before my photoshoot for VOGUE.
I took a bath and then wore a top and jeans with a matching brown fur coat that runs down below my knee, since it’s pretty chilly here. I got down the building with Jake sunbae and we walk the streets of New York ignoring the obvious paparazzi's ’aking our pictures. When we arrived at the next building 3 streets from our hotel we hurried to the studio to finally get a start.
“Hello everyone.” I said in perfect English to everyone who are at the studio and bowed at them.
They welcomed me with hugs and pats on the shoulder. No one actually raised a brow at me but all smiled.
So this is how it is to be popular?
The photoshoot started, and they let me wear a lot of clothes. About 30 to 40 pieces of clothes that are really nice and Jake sunbae at least took hundreds of photos of me. He let me see some of the pictures and I think they came out all good and I was happy.
“Are we already done?” I asked him during our 15 minute break while seeping Lovebucks coffee.
“Not yet. Next is an interview for the magazine. But I’ll be there to snap some photos of you.” He told me while still busy checking the photos he captured.
“I see.”
The 15 minute break ended and I sait on a chair in the middle of the studio for an interview. A pretty English woman sat across me.
“Annyeonghaseyow” The blonde woman said with an accent.
It made me giggle because she sounded so cute and I managed to imitate her “Annyeonghaseyow”
She laughed and started the interview.
“So how is your feeling to be able to work for Vogue for the first time?”
“Well, I’m really happy. This has been my dream since I was around 15 and now I finally achieved it. “ I said and then smiled.
“The world talks about you now, since you’ve been entitled the “Catwalk Princess” how does that make you feel?”
“Right now? I feel pressured. But of course being able to be recognized by a lot of people makes me happy. I’ve considered modeling just as a job in the past to earn and to have fun and I never thought people would actually notice me and now that this is actually happening still surprises me.”
“According to our research, you’ve lived in New york with your dad for 9 years who’s actually a known businessman who owns several business chains here and in Korea, what actually urged you to work in this field when you actually could be considered a ‘princess’ with that status?”
“Wow. You sure did a good job in your research… I actually never told anyone about my family. Just a few people know. So, I left the status aside. In New York I considered myself as one of the common people. Even until now, I feel the same about myself. I’m just the same with any New Yorker so I have to be independent. That thinking actually urged me to work hard.” I said.
