RIN’s POV
The next day I got allowed by dad to go out since the final exam results were out yesterday and I ranked first for half of the subjects and I passed Math with flying marks in second rank. Of course, the ever genius Marcus got most of the top ranks, and I can’t question that. He doesn’t study but everything the teacher says is all in his head. He’s incredibly gifted and doesn’t need to be a nerd.
“Should I post this now?” Marcus asked me.
“Yes! Post it! I’m sure the fans will love it.” I said with excitedment.
“Alright.” He said and then posted the picture.
We waited and the Favorites & Retweets on his Twitter post started to rise up to 6,000 plus incredibly.
“You sure have an incredible charm for the fans. You just posted your 50th status, haven’t changed your purple egg avatar, but look, you have a million followers to love your post.” I teased him.
“Com’on… that’s why I’m Marcus Cho.” He said proudly while smirking at me.
Today, we got to the usual café we go to, just walks from our homes. Although we receive so much stares than the usual since we haven’t even disguised ourselves we just ignored them. We aren’t as much sweet to each other like other couples do, that’s why this is somewhat an advantage to us. So people will not suspect that we’re actually going out.
“Hey, have you heard about the upcoming sportsfest?” I asked him while playing with phone.
“Nope.” He said while busy playing games on his phone.
“Eeeeh?! How could you not check the school bulletin board. I’ve already got my own group and it’ll start the day after tomorrow, didn’t you know?” I exclaimed.
“I have no idea it’s tomorrow since I’m absent for several days right? Who are you together with anyway?” He asked.
I started to feel so down the moment he asked that.
“I’m together with Aiden & Hana and some kids from the 6 sections. We’re all mixed up, but you’re not in my group.” I told him and he looked at me.
“Is that so?” I nodded.
“That’s okay… well… we won’t be together so often, but I’ll make it a point to see you.” He said and I just pouted.
“But—“
“How about we make a deal to make things interesting?” He said with eyes sparkling.
The sound of “games” and “deal” always excites this guy so don’t be so surprised about that.
“Tell me then…”
“The deal is… the first who can’t resist to not talk to each other during this week will have to do what the winner says.” He said and I pouted more.
How is that to my advantage? He knows I’ll miss him much, and he’s definitely up to something. He knows I’ll definitely lose.
“You seem to know me so well that the deals’ obviously about you winning. Well Mr. Air-head, this is a deal. I’m going to show you how good I can be at ignoring you.” I said and then smirked.
“Let’s see who’s better.” He said and smirked.
As the weekend finished, nothing much special happened between us. We just got on short dates and I went with him to his recordings to support him.
Monday.
Sportsfest starts today. Our deal also starts today.
“You seem not to talk to Marcus today, is something wrong? I thought you both got close…” Hana started to ask and I placed my index finger on her lips to quiet her down.
