39th string - My Love For You

RIN’s POV

After what happened to me yesterday, I can’t believe but we actually won the dodgeball game. We won because what happened fired up my teammates' spirits.

“Don’t join the games today since that might just stress you out. Instead let me just ask you a favor. This will help our group in winning, and you’re perfect in doing this!” Team leader told me.

“Is that so? Then, tell me!” I said.

If it will be for the honor of our team, I will help them no matter what.

He told me to come closer and he whispered me how the plan goes.

At the cafeteria.

“Hey, you look so gloomy and restless right now more than us.” Hana said while wiping the sweat on her face.

The paintball gun game finished and we were declared victors after battling out with 5 other groups. I’m happy that I didn’t join them, since I must had just been a great burden to them if I had forced myself to join.

“Not really.” I lied.

“Don’t lie. Your face can’t even cover up for what you said.” She uttered.

“Well… I’m just quite bothered about something that’s all. Nothing big though.”

“Jinjja?” She asked.

“Yeah.”

Aiden joined us in our table with soda cans in his hands.

“Ya! Ya! Woohoo! I think we’re going to be this year’s champion for the games among the Seniors!... I asked team leader and we basically just need one great win to pull this out!” He said excitedly like a kid to us as he handed a can of soda to each of us.

“Is there another game other than the 9 games????” Hana exclaimed. I know how she got tired of it all. Playing for 4 out of nine games is like meeting hell. What more if we make it 5 games?

“Nope! It’s not a game we have to win but a pageant!” He told us.

“Eeehhhh?!” Hana scowled while I flinched at the sound of it.

“Yeah! Won’t it be easy for us? We have a lot of cute girls in our team. The contest will just have 4 rounds with wearing casual wear, long gowns, swimsuits and last is talent. Leader said that most definitely, this will comprise 25% of the scores to know who the champion will be.” Aiden explained.

“So when will it be?” Hana excitedly said.

“Tomorrow.”

“That fast?!!!!”

“Yes.”

“Do we have our contestant already?!” Hana asked.

“Leader said that he has already chosen someone, but he plans to keep it a secret till we see who it will be tomorrow.”

Not knowing what I’ve gotten myself into, I sank in despair after hearing that again and from Aiden this time.

I can’t help but worry that leader actually asked me to join the pageant. To think that I have no experience in joining one, makes me scared the most. I’ve only done modeling and that’s just where I am good at. But knowing that my friends and others at school will be boring stares at me tomorrow honestly makes me wanna die.

D-Day.

Today, my head kept spinning. I can’t believe that I’m actually doing this. But then I told myself that joining the pageant wouldn’t actually hurt trying. Win this, and we’ll get the get away of our dreams for 1 week. So I guess, that’s what I’m going to think about from now on.
