RIN’s POV

Yet again, I run away after seeing something horrible for me.

“Why can’t I get myself to think straight? It’s different this time. He’s already your boyfriend, why do you keep making yourself feel sad just by seeing that?” I shouted at myself while I stand before the sea.

It’s not like he cheated on me. Maybe he’s just comforting her. But then knowing that the person he’s holding in his arms is the girl I’ve been jealous of for the past days, makes my heart ache. Ache so much.

“Rin!” I heard someone call me but I didn’t budge to see who it was.

I started to walk and ignore the person calling me since I want to be alone. I want to solve this by myself.

But then that person caught me arm and spun me around to face him.

“A-Aiden.” I said with my tears welling up.

“Why are you crying?” He said, his eyes showing worry, but then I just started to wail.

He slowly held me closer and embraced me.

“Cry all you want. I’ll lend you my shoulder. So cry your heart out.” He said.

Just like that, another déjà vu happened.

AIDEN’s POV

After seeing Rin cry all I wanted to do is run to her and comfort her in my arms. That moment I decided to forget what Marcus and I talked about over in the café this afternoon.

“I bet you have something to tell me?” Marcus asked after sipping on his cup.

“What do you mean?” I asked him, quite confused what he’s trying to ask.

“You know why I asked you to come here.” He said calmly.

“Is it about Rin?” I said, a lump started to form in my throat.

He looked at me but didn’t speak at all. He let out a smirk that confirmed my guess.

“Maybe I should really tell you now. Even if it’s already too late… I like Rin.” I said.

He let out a mocking chuckle and then spoke, “And you already told her that?”

“Yes, I did. But she rejected me, even if I told her not to speak about it anymore since I knew her answer.”

“So, maybe that’s the reason why she was out of her mind this whole time.” He uttered and then sipped on his cup.

“She was thinking of me?” I asked him quite curious since somehow I was happy that I was able to barge into Rin’s thoughts.

“Right. She was. And I hated it.” He said straight-forwardly in my face.

“I see.”

“But please don’t make her feel troubled too much. She has a lot of things she’s thinking about right now. What more if you add to her burdens? Please fix this.” He uttered and I just sighed.

Was I a burden for her?

“I know it’s my fault that she must be having a hard time now all because of my confession, but then, I atleast did not hurt her. Marcus, if you look at it closely. I guess she’s much more burdened because of how she feels for you. Please don’t hurt her, or else I can’t do anything about it. I might steal her if you make her cry.” I told him firmly.
